Good afternoon, everyone!
I am currently having my first day off of the school year. Six days in a row to start the year is pretty good stat for a substitute teacher. Today, I had planned to do a few things, but I awoke a little too early in search of work and then took an extended nap from 10-noon. Oops!
Speaking of "oops," is it mid-July or mid-September? I see that the leaves are fading and about 20% change has happened, yet the temperatures are telling me otherwise. Currently, we're at 24C/79F and with humidex it feels like 29C/84F... It could feel as warm as 32C/91F this afternoon. If it wasn't for our trust milestone marker that's less than half a week away, I would argue that we're certainly not closing in on 100 days until Christmas!
Well, I should probably get on to a few things around the house. I hope everyone is having a fantastic 'Pines Day!

Good afternoon .. I really can not believe how fast time is flying by us .. father time just needs to slow down here. With the exception of this weekend the next several weekends are busy with various plans including decorating the house for Halloween. My sweet hubby pick me up a new bag of pumpkin spice coffee the other day so I will be making that this weekend and getting my Halloween themed mugs out. Love this time of the year. Have a great day!
Just saying hi to all my beautiful people. It was fallish now it's summery again. Suppose I can tolerate it a bit longer.

Our house is okay and we're all accounted for. Have cell and power back. We feel very fortunate. Many others around us are not as lucky. We're in Lakeland and were in path of the eye of the storm. Now just pitching in and helping where we can.

I noticed at lunch our neighbors young maple tree across the street is all a beautiful orange color already! How did I miss that???

Have fun decorating!! I started at lunch to take down some of my pictures that have to come down for the fall/Christmas/winter season...and then got side tracked by little Lucy wanting to go outside.

Evening all,
Rough day at work followed by phone call from my brother letting me know mum's cat died after a rough week of being ill. He just couldn't break the news to her over the phone so I told her in person. Maze had been in and out of the vet all week and sadly they did all the could but she passed away. Mum is so heartbroken especially as she was not there for Maze I feel so sad for her as well as my brotherMy brother found Maze abandoned back in Feb and brought her home.
Hope everyone is well and prayers for everyone suffering the hurricane and storms.
