Christmas Countdown - 2017

Good Thursday morning! Rain yet again but that's to be expected this time of year. I'm working the afternoon/evening ahift again. Got a load of laundry done and will make some vegetarian chili in a minute for supper. I also have to put together a poster with this year's costumed employees at work, so people can vote for their favourite Halloween costume. And I have to do a bit of grocery shopping as well. A busy morning. Hope everyone will enjoy a great day!

The year is really starting to get away from us now, just like every other year.
(You would think we would anticipate that and be ready for it, but no! It catches up with us every time!)

Here's the bad news. (Well. Good news, really!):
Days to the Season: 11 (SINGLE DIGITS from the day after tomorrow!)
Days to Thanksgiving: 21 (THREE WEEKS from TODAY!)
Days to Christmas Day: 53 (Barely over 7 1/2 weeks remain!)

(Wow, Guys. Just Wow!)


The beautiful and much-coveted weather contines with moderate temps, no rain, calm winds and plenty of sun.

Hey there all! Hope your all having a nice evening tonight. I'm tired, really tired tonight and so I'm going to go to bed tonight before 10 for the first time this week and try to get so good sleep tonight.

I like to do a send out "Happy Birthday" wish to my son (turned 25 today) and a big "Congratulations", to him as well, for being promoted in the Air Force to the rank of E-5 (Staff Sergeant); over 34,000 took the test and only 18,000 got promoted.

So glad it's November.

Good morning MMC!! Merry Friday Eve!!! Looks like it's going to be a dreary but warm day! We have a high of 64º predicted today. No wonder I slept on the couch last night, coughing half the night. UGH! Started with a sore throat then moved to a chest cold. My yearly November cold! I just need to nip it before tomorrow as I have mom this weekend!

Last night I got icing on all the cut out cookies I made Monday. I think I'll stick them in the freezer for Thanksgiving. Well, we'll have to eat the ghosts, Oh darn!

Oh my goodness, those pictures made me giggle. Shes a little stinker, isn’t she? Good luck with the trees. I think it’s a good idea to start early and see how she does. I have my hands full with the four cats, it’s a challenge!

I can imagine you have your hands full with the kitties at Christmas. I bet they are anxious for you to get your tree's up!

I can't argue with that idea, either. I'm still going to try and remain committed until the 13th though.

My day went well. It was somewhat easy. For the next two days, I'm in the 7/8 world. It will be a little more difficult. I am not a huge fan of the age group (I prefer older), but I enjoy these kids so it should be an OK two days in the same class!

Between it being November, Hallmark Christmas Movies on TV, 2 Channels on Sirius XM going Christmas & Music Choice going Christmas today I can hardly stand it!! So ready to put up my tree!!
Actually I'm thinking of starting in the sunroom, putting up 2-3 bottom rows of the tree just to see what Lucy will do to it & let her get use to it! It's going to be a disaster! It was cold/damp/yucky at lunch & look what she was doing to the pumpkins!!!

It’s going to be partly cloudy today with highs near 70 degrees. I got all of my Halloween decor down yesterday and all things Thanksgiving are up. I just need to run to Michael’s for a couple of more Fall leaves garlands, if I can find them. I’m sure the store is pretty much all Christmas by now. I think I’m going to send my Thanksgiving invites out soon so I can get a head count and finish up my menu plan & grocery list. I have to get my turkey order in to the butcher as well. Exciting stuff! Other than that I will just be working on the laundry. Dinner will be tacos and enchiladas. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well. Have a great day!!!

Looks like it will be a dreary day but will be warmer..I am looking forward to some cooler weather that stays around. Hard to believe Thanksgiving is 3 weeks away. It is getting closer and closer!

thankyou so much. We are happy to say all is done, moved, cleaned and keys turned in. She just has to unpack now. Going over on Friday to help with that and get her curtains up in the living room.
Big party here tomorrow, Got a few folks coming over and making their own pizzas. Ray does not like cake, hard to hear for a mom who makes them. But this week I really do not mind. We will pick up a dozen of his favorite donuts, put candles in them and it will be great !

What a great feeling! I hope the unpacking goes well tomorrow!

Good luck finding garland today! It is exciting to be thinking about Thanksgiving! After I got icing on all the cookies last night I was too tired to take down Halloween & put up Thanksgiving so I still have a few jack-o-lanterns & ghosts around the house. Maybe tonight!

Morning MMC! 3 weeks from today we will gobble till we wobble. Unbelievable isn't it? Gotta get ready soon for the big turkey day. But for today just another day at work. Went out to eat last night. It was good and now will buy my favorite sandwich for lunch today. It's mild and going to be near 70 degrees. Definitely doesn't feel like November after a chilly Halloween. Merry Morning
This week is going by so fast!

This weekend is a big one. We celebrate Bonfire night on Sunday and the Christmas lights will be switched on in the city on Saturday to open the festive season!!!!! It's a big affair with huge fireworks display and performances by pop stars and the cast from both the musicals Elf and Shrek.

How exciting Festive!!! I hope you all enjoy to the fullest!!!
