Morning MMC. Happy March! Can't believe that we are already in March. I hope you all are having a good week so far. Seems like March will come in like a lion because we are having a big storm tomorrow with flooding rain and maybe even snow. Let's see what happens. Hope you have a great day of hope!

Merry Thursday!
Been awake for quite some time, Rocky is still having a hard time sleeping through the night. Can’t wait until I’m allowed to start walking him. I plan on taking him for an evening walk every night to burn off some of that puppy energy. Of course I’ve been playing with him but it doesn’t seem to tire him out enough. I’m hoping everything falls in to place after that. Anyway not too much going on here, it’s just a typical day of errands and chores. Dinner will be baked chicken, cheesy scalloped potatoes and roasted brussels sprouts. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Little stinker. Lucy would not settle down last night. I'm not sure what had her so fired up! Finally around 1:30-2:00 she decided it was time to lay down.

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

I'm finally back at work, and glad to be here. (I never thought I'd say that!) I'm turning into an old fuddy-duddy, and I don't my routine being broken, I guess.

I'm glad to be rid of the bronchitis, but now I have 30 emails to answer, and a stack of files on my desk.

Looks like we are in for a pretty bad rain storm starting tonight. They are saying we could get high winds..I hope we don't lose power, that is always my fear!
Tonight I am making pork chops, mashed potatoes and salad for dinner.

Good morning. I’ve been up for an hour already, I’m sitting here watching the weather channel, drinking my coffee, enjoying a nice quiet morning and listening to a raccoon opening an closing the lids to all the trash cans outside, looking for some goodies!!! Now I understand why there was poo on top the lid the other week.

It's because you forgot to leave him something.

They only open your trash can lids? Where we live, the squirrels chew holes in the lids. And that's on those big rugged Rubbermaid-type trash barrels with the lock-down lids.

We're expecting some of that wild weather tomorrow: rain mixed with snow, and wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph. Ugh. Too bad it couldn't just be a big ol' nor'easter snowstorm so we could work from home.

Today is to be sunny turning cloudy, with temps in the 50s (F). The weatherman is saying "enjoy it while it lasts."

Good morning, all! Oliver spent the last two days at the vet getting the last of his heart worm treatment. Not fun, and he’s been tired and cranky. But he’s better this morning. This pic was taken right before he curled up in my lap to keep me company while I get my work from home day going. Now just keep him quiet for a month and we’re done with those nasty worms!!!

Good Afternoon, MMC!!! It’s a rainy dreary day here and the temps are falling steadily. I really could just go crawl back in bed. Of course, only getting 3 hours of sleep last night isn’t helping that urge either. I probably shouldn’t have got that 44oz cup of Mountain Dew at the gas station last night. Lol!! Nothing to exciting happening here. I may finally venture out towards Indy. They say they’ve filled 30,000 pot holes this week so far. So it might be a little safer. Then again, they say they still have 130,000 to go. I hope everyone has a great March 1st and first day of meteorological spring!!!

Good rainy Friday Eve MMC!! What an ugly weather morning!!! I delivered groceries to moms this morning - did nothing for my hair doo!! LOL! Dena (Amish) is making a meal tonight for mom & mom #2 ~ lucky ladies!!! Lucy was a soaking wet mess when she came in this morning ~ she don't care!! She goes to the groomer at lunch - so much for brushing her out last night!

Went out to eat Mexican with my HS friends last night. It was a nice time. We don't get together too often!

Not much going on today - just work. Hoping to maybe finally finish that afghan tonight. Every time I think I'm done I decide to do "one more section/color" - but THIS last section really is it!!!

Good afternoon, everyone!

We're in a third month and it's my first time posting. I apologize for my disappearance from MMC.

December was difficult. I lost the reason I love the Season so much on December 20th. My grandmother passed away after 88 wonderful years on this earth. She had one of the most generous and kindest hearts I have ever encountered and I will forever take my love of Christmas from her. It really made celebrating the Season difficult. Even so, it went on and I was so lucky to be surrounded by family and friends in Sault Ste. Marie.

In terms of this year, I am now a permanent/contract teacher in my school board. The only downfall is that I have to drive an hour to get to school/teach. I am no longer driving to Russell every day to substitute teach. Instead, I am driving an hour to teach in Brockville, Ontario. It's a far drive, but I needed the contract. Now, I can work my way back to Russell... as well as getting more sections. Right now, I only have .33 (two classes in one semester). I'm really hoping that I can apply and increase next year. Still, I can finally say that I am a permanent/contract teacher!

I hope you all have had a wonderful start to 2018 and I look forward to the possibility of seeing you all more in the near future!

It is a really miserable weather day. It does make you feel like napping!! Besides ice, this is my least favorite kind of day. Cold rain, wind blowing the rain, smacking it in your face, dreary...BLAH! Nasty!! (I'm glad I'm not a UPS driver today...just sayin!)
I'm sure Lucy will come home from the groomer & lay in a mud puddle. Ha ha ha!!
If you decide to go to Indy, stay safe. There was a segment on some show this morning about pot holes. Darn weather!

I am so sorry to hear about your Grandma! (((Hugs))) It's so tough anytime, but even worse over the holidays. I hope her love of Christmas (and all your other memories with her) help you through this difficult time & and may her spirit live on through you & your love of Christmas. She would want you to Merry on! ♥
