You're welcome, brent!
How nice that you have some merry plans for Christmas~
Now that would be a fun game to be at!! Hope it works out!
Adrian and I enjoy those rivalry games
How AWESOME for your Dad and brother!! Congrats to them!!
I don't think we will make it this year, unless something comes up unexpectedly. Excited for the season, though!
They've been good thus far, made. Still waiting to hear back.Stay cool and I hope the interviews go well!!!
We noticed more leaves on the ground at the lake this weekend & when we look across the lake, some of the tree's leaves are turning yellow! Crazy to think it's that time!
Good luck with your interviews!! xx
Best of luck with teaching interviews Brent!!!
Thanks, Meceka! I thought I would get a few more, but it appears they've slowed down. I'm still waiting to hear back from a couple of the interviews, but I think they went well! You're welcome, Brent! I hope you get more interview emails and that it cools down to comfortable temperature and humidity in your area soon. Have a merry day!
Good Morning, Folks!
We are one step closer to Christmas and its glorious Season this morning, just like we are every morning.
Step by step, we march closer and closer until one day........
Let's take a look at our progress:
Days to the Season: 76
Days to Christmas Day: 118
And speaking of steps, there are only 18 remaining until we reach our next Milestone marker, which just happens to be the 100-day Christmas Day Window.
After that is passed, we truly accelerate because BOTH of our counts will then have only two digits, a sure sign the holidays are just around the corner.
The heat and humidity have once again settled in, hopefully for the last time, as we are nearly on the threshold of September.
At least there has been no further rain and dry conditions are predicted to remain well into next week.
Our current reading is 73 degrees. here.
Have a Wonderful Wednesday, and we will see you at the 'Pines this evening for the final pre-'ber open house.
Carl has a "summer close-out" sale going on fired twinkies and merchandise from the 'Pines gift shop. (Got to get things cleared away for fall, you know!)
Hope to see everyone there!
The last few years we haven't had spectacular fall foliage. This year has been a much wetter summer, so hopefully we get some extra pretty views!!That's crazy, Holiday. It's amazing how some places turn much earlier than others. It must look beautiful over the lake!
Thank you!![]()

The cottonwood tree's always lose their leaves earlier. Also the Linden in our back yard is starting to change - but we had Japanese BeetlesSo I'm not sure if it's the beetles or the time of year. That tree normally loses it's leaves earlier than most too!
Hope you're having a good day!
Can you imagine! How fun would that be?? Maybe we can commute together. LOLOL! Maybe their customer service job could be "work from home???"![]()
Happy Hump Day!
Another scorcher here today with really high humidity. My girls have their first day of school today. I only got a pic of my youngest, my oldest couldn't find her shoes so she was running around trying to find them...lol and so it begins!
My husband is home with vertigo, it started last night and has terrible nausea and dizziness. Hopefully he will feel better today.
Just typical work for me today and I am going to make a taco bake for dinner.
Hope you all have a great day!
Thank you, SFM~ appreciate the prayers!
My parents had some water in their basement, and we without power for about 7 hours yesterday, but they are safe thankfully. They couldn't get out of their neighborhood, because of downed trees. They had wanted to go check on my aunt, but we've since heard she is okay too.
My sister has it rough- lots of water in her basement. She was sucking it up on & off all day, as the rain didn't ease up until close to midnight last night. A lot of her belongings are lost, for sure some furniture and carpet has to go. I just feel bad for her because it's just her and my niece there, and they've had a rough time lately. I know she's very overwhelmed.
Gov. Walker declared State Of Emergency for 6 counties in Wisconsin, including La Crosse where my family is.

They never need to come back!! We set up a "Bag A Beetle" in the back yard. I could not believe how many were in there. Gross!!!I think it should work like that. Hopefully, they have plenty of strength to remain for all trees... and hopefully those beetles make their way out of your year shortly, too!
Ha ha ha!! I would be right there spending my paycheck with you!!It’d be a blast!! The only problem is, I’d spend my whole paycheck there. Plus I’d get in trouble for taking pictures for the blossoms thread instead of working. Lol!!
I was thinking maybe @Meceka and Palmer would let us set up a camper in their driveway for a few months. Lol!!
I just got home from the grocery store and Dollar tree. Dollar tree had cases and cases of Halloween stuff sitting around. What were they putting out though? Christmas craft supplies. So that’s Hobby Lobby, Hallmark, Michael’s, Dollar General, Big Lots, and Dollar tree now. It’s spreading!!!
Thank you, Buddy~ We really appreciate them!My prayers continue to flow for your whole family, Buddy. (((Hugs)))
