Christmas Countdown - 2018

I am such a last minute mama this school year. I decided yesterday that I wanted to get a first day of school chalkboard sign for Carolina. I have searched everywhere and couldn't find a thing. I did see quite a bit of Christmas decor at Hobby Lobby but forgot to take pictures of it. Tonight is just relaxing and movie watching since it is stormy. We are watching Walk the Line.

Work tomorrow and then I will probably start packing away some summer clothes and getting out fall clothes

Happy Saturday MMC! Another September weekend begins. And it's a cloudy one here with much cooler conditions (actually below normal for a change). Kind of feels more like early Autumn than late September but would be nice if we had at least some sun. Just some errands for me today and I'm going to the mall. Merry Saturday MMC ~
It’s going to be cloudy today with highs near 75 degrees. Not too much going on here, I’m just having my coffee right now and hanging out with Rocky. I’m going to do some food shopping later this morning and then I’ll be working on some chores around the house. Should be a relaxing day otherwise. I picked up a marinated flank steak at the butcher yesterday, we’re going to grill that for dinner tonight. I think I’ll make roasted potatoes and a Caesar salad as well. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!

Two days to relax before it all starts all over again.

OK. Get that take-out fired twinkie you got at the 'Pines last Wednesday out of the refrigerator and heat it up in the old microwave. Pour youself a glass of sweet, southern iced tea, sit back, and enjoy the latest from the Daily Countdown.

Days to Christmas Day: 108

And the headlines clearly indicate that we are just ONE WEEK and a DAY short of the 100-DAY CHRISTMAS DAY Milestone and the commencement of a double, double-digit count.
(Exciting days are here again!)

One last day of high heat and humidity, yesterday?
Today will tell. We are predicted to be a little cooler, according to the weather service.
Right now, our back door thermometer tells us it is 74 degrees here in our part of MMC Land.

It was so nice to sleep with the windows open and is definitely cooler outside.
I have been watching the weather with Hurricane Florence and really hope it does hit us.

Good Saturday morning! It turned downright cold overnight. It was only 8°C/46°F this morning. That’s too much of a drop in temperatures for my liking. Right now David is doing some shopping so I’m just relaxing at home with Loki, before we head out for a drive to some orchards and farmers markets to find some delicious foods. Morning ... Such a big change in the weather .. we had a heat wave earlier this week with temps in the 90s and feel like temps in the 100+. Right now we are at 67 degrees with a light rain and nice breeze, not expected to get much warmer today and it's suppose to be cooler tomorrow I love this weather ... We have a community festival happening today and thankfully the rain is suppose to move out of the are with in the hour so the kids will be able to enjoys the rides later today and fireworks tonight.

Temperatures are dropping here as well. This morning I was out for some shopping, it was much cooler and I had to wear a jacket.. I loved the feeling!

As for a lot of you, our temps and humidity went way down last night, and it's almost like fall outside. We're planning on a long walk later today to take advantage of the friendly temps.

Just getting some stuff done around the house and trying to take it easy. Last weekend was kind of nightmarish; I'm trying to get back to feeling like myself again. Some tea and crochet might help later.

Hello all,

Wow is it rainy! It has rained non-stop since yesterday afternoon and is not suppose to stop until Monday morning! We could see a total of over 5 inches or rain. Our Little League football game for tomorrow has already been cancelled due to the poor field conditions.

I am really happy football season is truly back! I am watching my Notre Dame Fighting Irish today and I am hoping my Brownies can beat the Steelers tomorrow.

The latest tracking for today, has the storm moving more south, eyeing the North Carolina and the South Carolina areas. But, it's still anybody's guess right at the moment. There is still, what, 5 more days until she makes landfall, the computer models are becoming more and more now, out of agreement with each other to where the landfall is going to be at. Stay Tuned!

We’ve cooled down here too with a steady temp of 62 all day. It feels great. We’ve also got 5 inches of rain since yesterday afternoon and the heaviest part of the storm is just moving in. So I’ve just been hanging out inside watching some Christmas movies expect a quick trip thru McDonald’s drive thru for dinner. I hope everyone is having a great day!!

It finally cooled down here too. It's 68 and rainy here now. Tomorrow the high will be 63 with 90% chance of rain all day. I worked today and am working tomorrow at a neighboring store that needs help. Since it is rainy here now I am just relaxing and reading. Have a good night everyone

Well, the cool down has started here. Not going to be as much as you guys, but it is going to be cooler. We are currently at 71, but we only will get to 74 in the next 72 hours. Low's will be in the high 50's...and I love it! Just hope it is not raining tomorrow morning when I drink coffee...I didn't get any deck time today and I love sitting out there.

We had a great day...but I gotta head to bed. Church in the morning!

Good Sunday morning! We have a windchill factor this morning and it is 0°C/32°F out there at the moment. We slept with all the windows open, I’m surprised we’re not freezing in here. When it warms up a bit we’ll go on a long walk at the park with Loki. Other than laundry, this will be another relaxing day with hubby. Have a great one everyone!
