Good morning! Just sitting here drinking my morning coffee and watching Hallmark. Trying to get the kids out the door too. DH starts his normal four days off, so he’ll be running them to school.

Not much on the agenda today. I’m going to just relax, work on Christmas shopping, and some laundry.

Hope you all have a fantastic day!

Happy Friday Eve!! Looks like another nice day today before the cold hits next week. Typical work day for me and I need to catch up on laundry tonight.
We got some bad news last night that my aunt passed away...she had dementia and diabetes. Unfortunately, I will not be able to provide a special post this weekend as I will be out of state for the funeral on Saturday. If anyone would like to take it over please feel free..let me know and I will let Crown know as well. Hope you all have a great weekend!

I’m so sorry to hear this. Thinking of you and your family - lots of prayers, my friend!

Charlie Brown Thanksgiving!
Thanks for the suggestion!

Sorry about your aunt SFM! Your family is in my prayers! Dementia is terrible and so sad to see.

Sorry for your loss. Another rite of passage. Eventually God willing we rise to the top of the family tree. Take happy memories with you.

You’re so welcome and thank you! Hope you enjoy your day too! The book is “Their Christmas Miracle” by Lynne Marshall. I’m liking it so far!

Merry Thursday MMC ~
It’s going to be sunny today with a high of 55 degrees. Rocky and I just got back from our morning walk. I’m just having a cup of coffee and relaxing for a few minutes. I need to straighten up the house and start laundry. I’m going to pick my mother up later this morning, we’re going to The Christmas Tree Shop and then we’re going to grab lunch. Just need to decide where we want to eat! I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!
xx

SPECIAL POST DAY 5

I'm often asked why I collect Santas. I usually just say it's a tradition. My mom collected them when I was young. Her birthday is 3 days before christmas and it was my tradition to buy her a new one every year as a gift. She loved the ones that sing, dance, and otherwise do some kind of crazy thing. Me and my sisters loved to play with them and It was something we looked forward to all year long. So it just kinda became a thing. Then when we grew up and she started having health problems and was forced to sell the house, the Santa collection was one of the few things that we saved. I then took over the collection and have morphed it into what it is today.

As I've grown older, there's more to it than just tradition though. It has become about what Santa represents. It's about the ability to unselfishly give, asking for nothing in return but the feeling of joy when you see the pleasure that it brings. It's about seeing the look in anothers eyes when they are truly grateful, or the look of shock when they recieve something completely unexpected. It's about knowing that you have truly touched someone and made their life a little bit brighter than it was before.

Santa also represents the belief that anything is possible. That miracles can happen. The hope that magic is real. And serves as a reminder that just because we can’t see something, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

In a world that seems to be full of hate, Santa represents a guiding light for all of us to follow. A shining example of compassion and generosity. A reminder that it is possible for one person to bring the world together and change it for the better.

So when I look at my Santa collection what do I see? I see a goal. A way of life that few choose to live. A path to being a better person. To finding the true Christmas spirit.

So as we approach this Christmas Season, let your inner Santa shine, help make someone’s day a little brighter and put a little bit of Joy back into this crazy world.
Made, thank you for a lovely post.
The world today needs Santa more than ever.

Good morning MMC! Merry Friday Eve!!! Chilly start to the day with a high of 44 predicted. Lots of frost on the rooftops this morning - almost looked like snow! :)

I was cut loose a little early from the new job yesterday b/c things were pretty caught up (as far as what I know how to do so far) so I picked up my Lu girl from the groomer. Our groomer is fostering a mix breed puppy Kassi - she is so cute - her & Lucy had a ball together. So now she's trying to talk me into taking her! Gah!!! I told her if she doesn't find a home by Thanksgiving when our groomer is going away over the weekend, we will take her for the weekend & see how it goes - so she doesn't have to board her. Pray she finds a home for her before then! xx

It is not unusual for school levies to take two or three shots before they pass. Our school district has gone through this process many times, but, fortunately, not of late.
I'm sure ours will eventually pass also, but in a scaled down version!

Good Wednesday afternoon, Christmas friends!

I'm finished with conferences in Atlanta, and now I'm in Birmingham, AL for a golf tournament tomorrow. Of course, it's raining cats-n-dogs, so they may be canceling the tournament. That wouldn't hurt my feelings too much. I'm ready to see home!

One of the Georgia Gubernatorial candidates held her election reception in the hotel we were in last night. Boy, they were a loud bunch. I was on the 10th floor, and they woke me twice with their whooping and hollering in the lobby. The election is still not decided.

I hope y'all have a great afternoon! :D
Hope you either have fun golfing or have a safe trip home!!

Good Morning All! I hope everyone is having as good a day as I am so far! It's beautiful here in Maryland this morning; blue sky, whispy white clouds, cheerful sunshine, beautiful leaves. You can't beat that!

Kassi is beautiful! Hoping they find a home for her as well, but that is so kind of you to offer. Hoping it all works out!

I’ll have to stop by DG and see if they have the wrapping. That will be great for Nittany and Sidney’s gifts!

{{{{HUGS}}}}

Currently I have two afghans going and one is made with yarn that has been discontinued so I'm hunting for a few more skeins. If I don't find any of the yarn, I'll have to frog the whole thing and make it smaller.

Merry Pines Day to you, Holiday! Stay warm, too!!! xx
Thank you! And Merry Friday Eve!!!

Are you a member of Ravelry? They have a "stash" where you can buy yarn from other members who have it. They have 2084 pages of yarn in "stash" but many aren't for sale.

OR tell me what it is - heck, I might have some in my stash for you! :p

Have a great day M!
