I've been lying low for a while because I don't have a lot of cheer to spread. The workload at the office continues to beat me down, we unexpectedly lost a dear friend last week, and I'm having a couple of health concerns. Looking for things to get better as the "celebrating" season approaches, if I can reclaim some time and energy away from the office.

Finally finished my huge project for work when I snuck in for nearly four hours.

Grabbed a few groceries and now I'm relaxing with O'Malley who was purring when I came through the door (think he just wanted food, but maybe he missed me a little bit).

Didn't get laundry ready to go so I'll drop it off on Tuesday morning as I'm working a later shift.

Merry Sunday MMC ~
This past week was pretty busy for me, I wasn’t able to post too much. My daughter graduated from her licensed practical nurse program. They had a beautiful ceremony and we celebrated afterward. Then a dear friends mother passed away and we attended the wake and funeral. I also met with the director of the preschool I worked for a few years back. I decided to accept a position for this upcoming school year. I’ll be going in Monday through Friday for an afternoon shift. Should be fun! School officially begins here after Labor Day. I don’t have too much going on today. It’s going to be a beautiful day, sunny with highs near 80 degrees. We’ll just be hanging out by the pool and I’m going to grill steaks for dinner. That’s about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

Just taking a quick break from school prep. Syllabi done. Google Classrooms are set-up. Week 1 lesson plans finished. Overall yearly schedule, which will change at least 100 times, complete.

Tomorrow I will go in and work on my classroom. Lots to do there.

Been a productive day so far. Besides all of the school stuff I also did a fair amount of football work for the week. Just trying to get ahead of things as once things get busy I will surely fall behind. So, maybe if I am ahead now and then fall behind I will simply break even?

Good Morning, Christmas Enthusiasts of MMC

Dipping my toes in the countdown water ...

We are moving right along with a steady trek to our next Milestone Maker coming up on August 14th - that's right 3 days away and that will bring us to the 3/4 mark to the start of the season.

Days to the Season: 94
Days to Christmas Day: 136

There is another Milestone to consider coming up on Aug. 25th, but we'll get passed this next Milestone first and Crown will announce the next special date.

Coolish in my merry neck of the woods this morning; nice sleeping weather and it will warm up plenty in a few hours with normal summer weather for the afternoon. No rain expected until this evening.

Thanks to Christmaswarlock for filling in for Crown yesterday, I took the torch today and Crown will return to his merry duties tomorrow.

Good evening, everyone!

It's Sunday and we are almost through the weekend. It's hard to fathom that I only have a few more of these off weeks before returning to the classroom.

According to Auntie's update this morning we are three days away until we are officially 3/4 of the way to the Christmas Season?! Well, that is fancy, isn't it?! I will be traveling to Edmonton that day, but will do my best to check in and enjoy the double celebration as it will also be a Pines Day.

I'm really doing my best to use this month to get back into the Christmas Spirit and just enjoy posting again.

Well, I hope everyone has had a great weekend. My steak is nearly done and ready to go! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday evening!

A Jolly Good Morning to all y'all bunch of Christmas wackos


I had a rough night; couldn't sleep - not the cat's fault this time. Oh well, at least I got 4.5 hours which is better than none at all.

I'm volunteering to take photos at the Golf Course for a charity event for three hours today and then working 4 days and off for four.

I have four more four day work weeks in store for me; that's a good thing.

I had a dream that I slept through Pines Day.

Whew! It's only Monday.

Merry Monday and I am back to work after having a nice week off. Although I am off this Friday as well. I was at the grocery store last night and took a stoll down the Seasonal aisle and they had out their fall stuff. Then I had to stop at Dollar General and they were starting to put out their Halloween stuff...exciting times!!
