Santa, please give me cash for Christmas!

Turkeys do fly ... I was startled once by a big blobby brown thing with wings flying across the road at a low level. Took me a moment to recognize that it was a turkey, as I'd seen some by the roadside. I hope never to meet one face to face, as they're supposed to be aggressive. (Today, can you blame them?)

I've met some nice turkeys; white geese on the other hand, I avoid. The one that lived near my grandparents bit a hole in the mailman's pants and he popped over to her place so she could sew them up.

I wasn't there, but I can picture it so well.

I went to get in my car this morning and the driver and passenger side was snowed/frozen in and the left side was barely touched. Strange I thought the wind was coming from the other direction. It looked like someone took a snow blower to one side. What a mess. I let nature warm it up and got it cleared off after work so I'll be ready to roll in the morning.

I got my day off for tomorrow approved and then had half of it recanted so I could help out with an emergency out of town.

Half a day is better than no day.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

I agree about the geese!! We had chickens, ducks, and geese when I was growing up. The ducks were fine, the chickens were ok as long as you stayed out of the way, but the geese were so aggressive! They would come after you unprovoked! I remember seeing them chase my uncle and heard a story at many family gatherings of them going after my grandpa. I was not a fan of those geese at all, and clearly the feeling was mutual!

Well it was a good thanksgiving here. My dinner turned out really well. It must have been good because my mom and husband were too stuffed for pie! They said they will eat some tomorrow! I stayed up late last night making that pie to ensure they had it for Thanksgiving dinner and they were too stuffed to have any! So, I just polished off a slice and it was great. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving today!

Hello Black Fridayyy! +d And MMC Family.

I'm glad there's nothing I need today that warrants huge line ups and pushy elbows.

My sweet boy let me sleep until 4:15 which was rather nice of him.

I don't understand how he can tell the difference between sleep breathing and waking breathing, but as soon as I open my eyes, he started meowing and calling, "Maaw" in his soft tone not the demanding one.

Just before I woke up, I saw my mom with a big purse strung over her shoulder smiling at me and said, "I'm ready to go!" I wish we had time to shop together. She looked good; she appeared to be about six years younger than she was when she passed. She had some mobility issues then, but didn't require a walker or wheel chair to get around.

I wonder if it's because tonight is the Old Fashioned Downtown Christmas Walk that she popped into my brain. We went there together at least 4 times.

Looking forward to seeing the local production of ELF the Musical on Sunday; I know a few people in the cast and I'm going with my friend who went to the Elton John concert. I'm dressing up rather festive.

:elfing Stay Jolly :owl

Happy Black Friday MMC! Today is the day that used to be a horror to go out and shop but the last several years I found it simply to be a busier than usual shopping day. And I hope it will be that way because I am going to go out and shop some while also shopping online a little. Have a great Black Friday!

Good morning and Happy Friday!
I just had a slice of pumpkin pie & whipped cream for breakfast! I’m just having a cup of coffee right now and relaxing for a few minutes. My plans for today are decorating and listening to Christmas music. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!
xx

Sounds like a great breakfast to me!

TGIF, Christmas friends!

I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was as great as ours! It was wonderful having the family at our house, and Jacob & Elizabeth were both here with their girlfriend & boyfriend. Nancy, Mom and I later bravely fought the crowds at Walmart, and won the big TVs LOL.

NOW IT'S CHRISTMASTIME!! Woohoo! Time to pick up the pumpkins and setup the decorations!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

-merry-

Good Post-Thanksgiving / Pre-Weekend Morning, Everybody!
I hope you had a great holiday yesterday and have worked (or slept) off the overage. (Now, you can start working on those leftovers!)

But our lone count number rolls on!
Days to Christmas Day: 26 (Three weeks and five days remain!)

Our Thanksgiving yesterday was on the coolish side with a bit of wind but all in all, not too bad. The family was all together and everyone had a good time.
Today will see us into the mid 50's with no chance of rain but tomorrow will bring a precipitation chance of 50 percent and our high will be in the upper 40's.
We begin this Thanksgiving Weekend Eve at 37 degrees here in the capital city.

Have a Fabulous Friday Friends, whether or not it's black.
Enjoy your Weekend Eve!

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. We sure did. Parade, laying around, and a great meal. The only way yesterday could have been any better is if you aren't a cowboys fan.

Well, I am a cowboys fan....so that kinda tanked my day. Wait, not really tanked....maybe cast a shadow...it certainly didn't ruin it.

Doc got up to do a little Black Friday shopping while ol' Ballcoach has to stay home and watch little girls sleep...that sounds like a fair trade.

Today, we are going to watch Frozen II and eat for my birthday.

Turkeys hate to fly but they can manage it given enough space. Funny that they will walk/run for miles but get grumpy if they gotta fly 100 yds. We had a pet goose growing up that was quite mean if he didnt know you. They get awful protective and guard their territory.

Sounds like a perfect day! Enjoy! We haven't got a chance to see it yet, but I heard it's better than the first. Happy Birthday to you, Coach!

Good morning and Happy Black Friday! I've been doing some shopping since last night, but only online. I won't go out in the traffic and the crowds. I would rather stay home and spend time with my family. It's the first time in years I've been off, so I'm going to enjoy it. DH was supposed to be off today, but he ended up getting overtime, so he's at work now. Our best friends are coming over tonight and we'll be finally sharing pictures from our Disney trip. We've been so busy since we've got back from trip and haven't been able to get together. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
