Happy Thanksgiving!Enjoy your day with friends and family!
Turkeys do fly ... I was startled once by a big blobby brown thing with wings flying across the road at a low level. Took me a moment to recognize that it was a turkey, as I'd seen some by the roadside. I hope never to meet one face to face, as they're supposed to be aggressive. (Today, can you blame them?)
I've met some nice turkeys; white geese on the other hand, I avoid. The one that lived near my grandparents bit a hole in the mailman's pants and he popped over to her place so she could sew them up.
I wasn't there, but I can picture it so well.
Good morning and Happy Friday!
I just had a slice of pumpkin pie & whipped cream for breakfast! I’m just having a cup of coffee right now and relaxing for a few minutes. My plans for today are decorating and listening to Christmas music. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!
xx
Thanks Crown! Happy Black Friday!Good Post-Thanksgiving / Pre-Weekend Morning, Everybody!
I hope you had a great holiday yesterday and have worked (or slept) off the overage. (Now, you can start working on those leftovers!)
But our lone count number rolls on!
Days to Christmas Day: 26 (Three weeks and five days remain!)
Our Thanksgiving yesterday was on the coolish side with a bit of wind but all in all, not too bad. The family was all together and everyone had a good time.
Today will see us into the mid 50's with no chance of rain but tomorrow will bring a precipitation chance of 50 percent and our high will be in the upper 40's.
We begin this Thanksgiving Weekend Eve at 37 degrees here in the capital city.
Have a Fabulous Friday Friends, whether or not it's black.
Enjoy your Weekend Eve!
Turkeys hate to fly but they can manage it given enough space. Funny that they will walk/run for miles but get grumpy if they gotta fly 100 yds. We had a pet goose growing up that was quite mean if he didnt know you. They get awful protective and guard their territory.I've met some nice turkeys; white geese on the other hand, I avoid. I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. We sure did. Parade, laying around, and a great meal. The only way yesterday could have been any better is if you aren't a cowboys fan.
Well, I am a cowboys fan....so that kinda tanked my day. Wait, not really tanked....maybe cast a shadow...it certainly didn't ruin it.
Doc got up to do a little Black Friday shopping while ol' Ballcoach has to stay home and watch little girls sleep...that sounds like a fair trade.
Today, we are going to watch Frozen II and eat for my birthday.
