Good Morning Halloween Friends! You can see from the counts above that we are on the other side of 200 now on the Days to October count! The only one hanging on in the 200's is that stubborn "Days to Halloween" count. But before we celebrate Halfoween NEXT MONTH, we will see that count also escape the 200's.

Life's good today here on a Wednesday. We are just about two weeks away from JOL Day #2, which means my next edition of Dark Arts Sunday is in just 11 days!

Have a great Wednesday, Halloween friends. Try and think some spooky thoughts sometime today!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Monday to you. We are on the verge of hitting another milestone, as the counts above attest to. TOMORROW rings in the 200 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone. Starting on Wednesday, we will have only one count left that is in the 200's, and that's Days to Halloween. We are almost halfway through March now, and I feel the tiniest increase in speed. March is not feeling like a slog, yet, and that is peculiar to me as the last several years this month has felt like we are moving in quicksand.

I mentioned a few days ago that with the weather and some overwhelming "Fall Feels" that I got, I was going to cheat and watch a scary movie last weekend. Well I did, on Friday night I watched the original "Blair Witch Project". My best friend and I had been talking about Burkittsville for the past couple of days because we are planning a trip there in the Spring, we haven't been in a long time, and the place was on my mind. Shortly after the movie came out, we went camping in the woods up there at Gathland State Park. That night, we heard sounds in the woods that to this day, we do not know if someone was just playing pranks on us, or if it was some sort of natural / other sound that just couldn't be explained. I think in my 37 years, that is the most afraid that I have ever been. This leads me to our Monday topic / question:

What is the most afraid you have ever been?

Whether it is from a scary movie, noise, or something else, I can say that in 2002 trying to camp in those Burkittsville woods was the most afraid I have ever been. My best friend is an Army veteran and also says the same thing. He is not a man to frighten easily.

Have a great Monday, folks, and see you tomorrow on MILESTONE DAY!
Late response to the poll, but since I missed it:

The most scared I have ever been was not at some scary place in the middle of the night or some haunted location that you'd typically assume. The most scared I have ever been was a typical day during the middle of the day when I was in college. It has stuck with me for a long time.

I was in my dorm room by myself. I forget where my roommates were but they were probably in class at the time. I was sitting on my bed -- I think doing homework -- when I felt the most oppressive presence I've ever felt. It was like some huge weight pressing down on me combined with a sense of dread. I know I was not alone in this room. I had a poster on my wall at the time with all of the different names and titles of Jesus listed on it (I went to a Christian university), and while this malevolent presence was going on I looked over at my poster and I swear to you that it started to turn black. I couldn't believe my eyes.

All I remember is that I dropped to the floor and started praying to God immediately for whatever it was to leave. And it, whatever it was, eventually did. Keep in mind this was in the middle of the day in broad daylight. I looked at the poster again after it left and it was normal again.

Look, in most cases you'd probably dismiss this as "college kid has anxiety" or "college kid had one too many to drink," but I promise you this is a true story. I don't drink, I've never taken drugs, and I basically napped all the time during college, so I don't think it was a case of me not being well-rested.

The reason this has always stuck with me is because it's a reminder to me that there is real, tangible evil in the world. If you believe in God, it stands to reason that you have to believe in the devil also.

My best friends dad was a minister (Presbyterian). He told us one time he was preparing a sermon in his office, and he felt a malevolent force come in the room. He said he felt the presence of evil, and he demanded it leave in the name of Jesus. And it did. But it freaked him out, and I believe that is the only time that he had anything happen like that!

Totally. I can see that. My experience in college was the only time I've ever had anything like that happen. It freaked me out for sure, but it's never happened again since then (and I hope it never does).

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy St. Patricks day to you all! I'm feeling pretty lucky today looking at the counts and seeing that we are now only TWO WEEKS away from JOL Day #2, and that means I'm only 10 days away from another trip to Hogwarts with my 2nd installment of Dark Arts Sunday.

I hope everyone has a great St. Patricks day, as we inch ever closer to our weekend. Have a great day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Today shares a little bit of the mischievousness of Halloween, and the Leprechaun movie certainly changed my view of leprechauns!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Friday to you! Yesterday evening felt so much like a late September or early October day. It was a perfect 63 degrees with a gorgeous sun. The only thing we were missing was fall leaves on the ground and seeing Jack O'Lanterns. Fortunately we will be seeing Jack O Lanterns pretty soon, less than two weeks now.

Have a great Friday, keep Halloween thoughts in your head!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Saturday to you, and happy Double Whammy Weekend. I don't think today will feel as much like a "bers day" as much as a late summer day. Highs of 75 and a chance of thunderstorms! Thunderstorms in March!

Next week this time I will be making a batch of cherry cider in anticipation of the next round of Dark Arts Sunday! My next visit to Hogwarts is now just about a week away. I'm also excited to see the Halfoween count get down into the 40's next week!

Have a great Double Whammy Weekend!

Morning Halloween Fans! I hope you're all doing spookily well this weekend. Ahh the weekend. I am thinking maybe a Halloween show or 2 this weekend. Is that so wrong? Have a great day!
Not wrong at all, Edge! Enjoy!

Good Morning, Halloween Friends! Today is the 1st day of Spring. Yesterday I saw some of my friends point out online how much this weekend has felt like Fall. It makes me happy to see people outside of the boards here point out stuff like that.

Now that it's Spring, I'm sure my Fall spirit will be pretty high over the next couple of weeks as the weather continues to trick the mind. There's some good things right around the bend now, including the start of "Christmas Hunting" here at Hobby Lobby in just a few more weeks. Probably, the beginnings of Fall stuff going out there too as we get to the end of April and beginning of May.

Folks, It's Dark Arts Sunday here in a week, and JOL Day #2 is just a few days after that. There's going to be lots of Holiday Feels this week as we will celebrate Tom Turkey Day, and Rudolph Day this week. Something for everyone. Have a great day!
