Good Morning Halloween Friends! We still have Reese's pumpkins and ghosts in our Halloween cauldron, but it is dwindling down. Probably only about a week or two left in there. Soon enough, the cauldron will yield over to having Reese's Christmas Trees in there. I was thinking to myself about candy "season", and how that's almost like its own mini countdown. I'm sure at some point over this off season we will have a mini discussion on that, and how we can almost crudely count time by going through candy "season".

Right now for example, Christmas Candy is out. After that will be Valentine's candy probably hitting the shelf towards the end of next month. Then Easter candy hits toward the end of February / early March. I always get excited seeing Easter candy because in my mind, the "next" candy that comes out is Halloween Candy, but it's a pretty long haul (4 months) until we get there.

But Easter is in MARCH this year, so does that mean the Halloween / October count feels like it goes a little quicker? We'll see. Have a great day, friends!

I was taking a walk yesterday and seeing a mix of Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas decorations as others have seen here. The mix is neat to see. I would expect by next week the last of the Halloween decorations will be gone.

I don't like the years that Easter falls into March, because it makes the offseason count seem longer to me. Of course, it's the same number of weeks, but with nothing to look forward to in April it's as if that whole month just plods along.

EXCEPT... now we do have something to look forward to in April, thanks to this very thread and one Mr. Solid Snake, and that is Halfoween! That is genuinely exciting!

I am seeing a mix of decorations too, the Halloween is dwindling but Christmas is coming out hard. So many inflatables on my commute!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Friday!

I've been watching the "Chucky" show on SyFy, It started during "Halloween Season", and right now it's the last little bit of Halloween that I have left here at the house. There's only two more episodes for this season, with the final episode airing on November 23rd! In a way, the show is sort of "passing the torch", it is the only Halloween thing we still have going on here.

In other news, be online at MMC tonight. We are going to count down the hours and minutes until CHRISTMAS SEASON officially rolls in!

Have a great Friday, friends!

No Halloween shows for us this month. We're in Christmas movie watching mode now. :)

Starting off slow with my Christmas movie watching. I’m watching TV movies from the 70s on YouTube and working my way up the food chain to streaming services and DVDs. So far, “The Christmas Wife” and “Silent Night, Lonely Night.” Next up - “The Homecoming,” The pilot movie for the Waltons TV show.

Good Morning Friends! We are now OFFICIALLY in Christmas Season. Christmas season for me started on November 1st, but the clock striking midnight last night means it's official for everyone else. I just had to mention it on here.

I'm active on some Halloween groups on FB and it kind of makes me happy to see other folks basically following the same routine I do here, keeping Halloween in our thoughts but realizing how special the rest of this year is, while quiet excitement builds for the new year and to start clocking in the Halloween / October milestones.

That's how I imagine much of the next month and a half going - FULL Christmas mode / excitement, then we will really feel that "pull" to begin counting in earnest that last week of December. I love being on MMC too around the new years', heck all of the time obviously, but the new year's is just a special time when you see everyone committing to counting down again. It's awesome. And I think that's how It will be in here. Have a great day, and I hope everyone has a happy 1st day of CHRISTMAS SEASON!

My grandkids are already asking if we are going to celebrate Halfoween again (it came up as they were teasing me today about having Christmas music and having Christmas stockings on my feet).

Good Morning Halloween Friends!

Tomorrow, November 15th, we will celebrate our very FIRST milestone of the 2022 Countdown, and that is the 350 Days to Halloween milestone. Much like when we reach the 350 days to Christmas milestone, this one for me serves as our first gentle reminder that time is moving again.

Yesterday evening, I completed adding the "Halloween Trees" outside as part of the Christmas Decorations!

Have a great day, friends!

I feel the same way, that the first two months of the Halloween countdown is a freebie, and is a big boost when January rolls around-- feels like we used a time machine to fast forward through the first two months!
