WEEKS TO OCTOBER: 21
WEEKS TO HALLOWEEN: 25

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Today is the first weekday of the new month, Spooky Spring has faded into the background. The Halloween decorations are put away, and the laughing pumpkins are slumbering for a few weeks.

This week, we will reach a very important milestone, an awesome thing at the mid-point of this week, and that is the 150 Days to October milestone! If anybody has their eyes glued to The Bers countdown, like I do, then you will notice that we will jump out of the 120's beginning on Thursday. That's exciting folks, and a little bit scary.

Today's topic is more a reflection / retrospective post:

Spooky Spring is now over. What were your thoughts on Spooky Spring? Did you enjoy it enough to make it a part of your "normal" MMC celebrations going forward?

I loved Spooky Spring, even though I was late to the party and didn't start "officially" observing Spooky Spring until about a week into April. I have to give credit to the whole Spooky Spring concept to @The_Escalation, because if not for him, it probably would have never happened. April felt like October all month long, I felt like I picked a pretty good lineup of scary movies to watch, and I am excited to think about putting the whole "Spooky Spring" together at the end of this year as we look toward 2023. It gives me great fun to plan out JOL Days that far in advance, so to plan a whole month and weekend's worth of scary movies will be pretty fun.

Have a great day, friends!

I really enjoyed spooky spring. Now its time to move into may and the preseason for summer.

The bers and spooky season are not to far away again now. We have a couple JOL days and milestones until then to happily hold us over.
I'm glad we still have our JOL Days. It's rather fitting that the "last" JOL Day before Halloween is in the "Fall Preseason," or August 31th. Great way to put a bow on summer.

And that one is a very special one, as the past couple of years I have watched my scary movies that night, lit the hurricane lanterns in the house, and when the sun sets, turn on my “halloween tree” to symbolize being back in the Bers. Gosh just thinking about that now has me getting the feels!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! We're just one day away now from another Halloween milestone, and that's the 150 Days to October milestone that will be here TOMORROW!

I too am glad there's still another Jack O Lantern Day this month coming up, because I was really riding high on October / Halloween feels through all of Spooky Spring.

While not technically a milestone per say, seeing the Bers count drop to 120 tomorrow and knowing that in the subsequent days it is getting closer and closer to single digits provides a pretty good dose of excitement this morning.

Have a great day, friends!

DAYS TO JOL DAY: 31
DAYS TO HALFOWEEN: 0
DAYS TO THE BERS: 124
DAYS TO OCTOBER: 154
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 184

Happy Halfoween, Folks! Today is the day we have been waiting for a long time! The epic, thrilling conclusion to "Spooky Spring"

Only one movie made sense to play tonight to celebrate the halfway point, and that is the outstanding "Trick R Treat". No other movie, IMO, perhaps except for the opening of Halloween 4, so completely captures the FEEL of Halloween.

Today's October-like weather will continue, and as the evening rolls in and it starts cooling down, a celebratory "Bers Fire" is in order out at the fire pit.

Folks, I think I will return this evening with a "final" post on the subject of Halfoween, and Spooky Spring in general.

Happy Halfoween to all, I hope you all have a wonderful day! Keep those Halloween thoughts on tap all through the day!

I told Michelle "Happy Halfoween" while we were sitting by the pool on the lido deck Saturday morning. She just rolled her eyes at me. But she understands how excited I get for things like that. That same evening I saw a woman headed to the buffet wrapped in a Halloween blanket. I thought, "Is she celebrating Halfoween?"

Happy Halfoween! My pumpkin waffle maker made its debut today-- the instructions said to use 3 tablespoons of batter and those turned out round with the imprinted shape. When I used a bit less they came out pumpkin shaped. I used regular batter today but for Halloween I may try adding pumpkin and pumpkin spice. I may try one other test run between now and then just to see the best way to make them ahead of time and re-heat them so I could serve them all at one instead of waiting for each one, and maybe try cake batter. I would like to be able to make them to share with my niece and her kids for Halloween and maybe even on JOL days.

That's so awesome!!!

I didn't realize how much I missed Spooky Spring! I woke up with a strange lack of any holiday feels today, and then I realized, "Oh yeah, Spooky Spring is over." Kind of a bummer, but I'm more than content to give this month over to the November and Thanksgiving feels. We still have a JOL Day and Dark Arts Sunday this month.

I know I am a day late, but I would love it if Spooky Spring becomes an annual event. It added a lot of fun to April and gave me so much joy and October a little extra time in the spotlight!

*MILESTONE DAY*

Good Morning Halloween Friends! The mid-point of the week now, and it is punctuated by the awesome 150 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone. I'm really enjoying the symmetry of the counts today, and it will be quite satisfying to see all of them flip into a new series tomorrow.

Today is going to be on the warmer side, and I hope I will get some late September vibes, as long as it is not humid. The humidity pretty much puts a stamp on "sweat fest" and almost seems to taunt us that it lies just a few weeks up ahead.

Have a great milestone day, friends!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It feels GOOD to be on the other side of 150 days to October!

Mowing grass yesterday evening really felt like a late September day, still warm, but the humidity had retreated and I could feel the cool "fall" breeze moving in.

I think today is going to be weather closer to what we like, highs only in the low 60's and overcast. It will be easy to think of October today. And I think about it a lot.

Have a great day, friends!
