I'm sorry you were under the weather for the first JOL Day. I had the walking zombie syndrome from Halloween until Thanksgiving, I just couldn't shake it. I was bummed but I am looking forward to next November more than ever!Sad to say that my lack of sleep (due to the cough and cold that I had) and my inability to function beyond anything other than a walking zombie caused me to skip out on the first JOL Day celebration this year. I'm genuinely upset, so much so that I think I'm going to have to make it up one day in February. I know there are only 28 days this month, so maybe on the 28th day I'll watch the movie "28 Days Later." Makes sense, right?
For my classic monster JOL Day schedule, I'll just adjust it to include Halfoween and start off fresh in March.
I dread the day I am ever too sick to partake in an MMC Special Day and do SOMETHING holiday themed, even if it was just laying in bed and listening to holiday music lol. Get well soon!Sad to say that my lack of sleep (due to the cough and cold that I had) and my inability to function beyond anything other than a walking zombie caused me to skip out on the first JOL Day celebration this year. I like the "Walking Zombie" to describe pretty much every version of the crud that has been going through.I'm sorry you were under the weather for the first JOL Day. Yes! We have a surprisingly warm "10 day" forecast. Well, warm for us. Pushing 50s, which will hopefully eradicate the snow. Had a pumpkin beer last night to celebrate. Two to go, but saving one for Halfoween! ..now I just need a reason for the other one....DAYS TO JOL DAY: 53
DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING: 54
DAYS TO HALFOWEEN: 83
DAYS TO THE BERS: 207
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON: 224
DAYS TO OCTOBER: 237
DAYS TO HALLOWEEN: 267
WEEKS TO OCTOBER: 34
WEEKS TO HALLOWEEN: 38
Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Monday! It's a milestone week again. Our next milestone will be on Friday when we reach just 50 Days to Spooky Spring. We are now also exactly one week from the 200 Days to The Bers milestone. I've said this a million times, but when we break that seal and we are in a 100's count to The Bers, it is going to feel crazy. I think the general consensus on these threads is that the 300's to anything feel very, very far away. The 200's are when it really starts feeling good to daydream and get excited for what is to come, and in the 100's, there's just a real buzz in the air because for some reason the 100's counts go fast. And below 100? Well then it's just crazy. Enjoy that time when it comes, friends, because once you get below 100 stuff ZOOMS by. We don't have anymore 300's counts here, we haven't had them in a while, and we have three 200's level counts (soon to be just two!), and two counts that are well below 100!
Have a great day, enjoy thisSpookySpring type weather this week if you are getting it. It's a preview of what is to come in just 50 some days!!
A very good suggestion! As I tell everyone all the time here in this thread, I am not “in charge” or anything like that. I just post the daily countdowns. Everybody can do whatever they want as far as their own personal celebrations and what not.I have redubbed this month as Zombie-ary based on my decision to watch "28 Days Later" on February 28th, as well as to reflect the fact that I began this month with the "walking zombie" syndrome. That was a great name, by the way, @DecemberisComing.
Now I'm wondering if I should add more zombie-themed celebrations to this month. Am I taking this too far? I know it's not Spooky Spring yet, but adding a month to our Halloween festivities that is dedicated to zombies just seems like a lot of fun.
My question is this; "Is it even possible to take anything Halloween related too far?" I. Don't. Think. I've noticed that it seems like a lot of Horror movies are coming out over the winter / early Spring. I'm not really sure why. Seems like it would be more "seasonal" to release them in late summer / early Fall, or even in October!Morning Halloween Fans! My Halloween Thought for this Tuesday is I'm wondering if it's just me or does it seem like there are more horror/scary shows out these days in the movies than there used to be? And I wonder why that is. Have a great day!
