I am so excited to hit the 50 day mark until Spooky Spring, I have always loved April but I like having something new to plan and look forward to! I am going to print out a calendar tomorrow just for Spooky Spring so I can write down all the ideas you all come up with!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Friday! Happy Milestone Day! Today is a big one! Today we enter into "FINAL FIFTY" territory on the way to SPOOKY SPRING!

Spooky Spring, our long awaited next "Big thing" coming up here in this thread. If we think back, I think that technically we have been "looking forward" to Spooky Spring ever since last May of 2022 - we got on to the Spooky Spring train if I remember correctly, about two weeks into the month of April last year. By the time all of us were enjoying Spooky Spring in "unison", the month was nearly over.

I'm sure looking forward to it. Our next milestone day coming up after today will be on Monday, when we welcome in 200 Days to The Bers. Oh what it will feel like breaking that 200 Day seal!

I am going to be honest and admit that I am getting so excited for Spooky Spring.

In Halloween news in my neck of the woods, our legislature voted down the bill that would have changed celebrating Halloween on the last Friday of October and will leave it on it's perfect day of October 31.

It's the eve before Super Bowl day, and I feel holiday buzz in the air. It's a great feeling!

I agree it is a weekend that is focused on fun and good food, but I don't feel any stress. Pizza is a staple for many of us on both days, and of course the snacks!

Thank goodness for Spooky Spring. This is the time of year that my excitement usually starts to wain. March is going to be rough this year for sure. Thankfully, we've got a JOL Day to close out the month and simultaneously usher in Spooky Spring. And then Halfoween waiting at the very end. The only thing bigger that's happening this year is Halloween itself!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Super Bowl Sunday to you all. Today feels like a Holiday. I have always felt like Super Bowl Sunday is the very "last" thing that we have still holding on in the new year, that is leftover from The Bers and Holiday Season. Football began technically in "Fall Preseason" and lasted all through The Bers, Christmas Season, and even the darkest part of January we still had the Playoffs.

Our next milestone in this thread will be on MONDAY, when we reach 200 Days to The Bers. I'm going to save the big time celebration for The Bers thread, because this one just sort of "piggybacks" that countdown, we have a whole actual thread for The Bers. Make sure to visit it on Monday!

Today really does feel like a Sunday in the Bers. It is bright and sunny, but going to hit 50 today, but it was nice and cool and crisp this morning. I had not really thought of putting that all together with it being Super Bowl Sunday!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Football is truly over now and we move into the NFL "Off Season". Football was the "last" thing still holding us in a little bit of Bers / Holiday mentality. That came to an end last night. I will miss Football, as I miss The Bers every year when they end. And both of them will be on my thoughts a lot going forward.

Speaking of The Bers, today is a real milestone day - 200 DAYS TO THE BERS. Let's make sure we all pop over into THE BERS THREAD and give this special day some love.

Our next big day coming up is the brand-new February / Zombie-ary Jack O Lantern Day on February 28th. Two days after that we will see our own 200 day threshold, when we see 200 Days to Halloween Season on March 2nd.

Good Morning Halloween friends! Today is the day. We are finally in a 100's count now on the way to The Bers. In exactly two weeks, we will celebrate our very first ever JOL Day in February. Having never done one on February before, I wonder what it will feel like! Our next milestone day will be in 9 days when we reach the 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN marker. Folks, our October / Halloween Counts are the only counts still in the "high" 200's. I know that Days to Halloween is still at 216, but by the time we reach JOL Day this month, we will see that count barely hanging on to 200.

My Halloween Thought Tuesday today is really a simple one. The past few days here I've noticed how the light seems to be hanging on longer. I look on the online data to see sunrise / sunset times, and my heart is warmed to see that the sun is setting around 6:00 PM now. Do you know the other time of the year when the sun sets that early/late? OCTOBER. I know that the time is going to "change" again here in around a month, but I want to try and enjoy these next few weeks because as far as sunset times go, we are almost mirroring October on this one. So take a few minutes, stand outside and feel the cool air. It could almost be October if you close your eyes and daydream a little bit while the sun is going down!

And those kind of thoughts make me happy as we get closer and closer to Spooky Spring. It seems like we can find connections almost anywhere.

My Halloween thought concerns cycles. I was thinking last night about this. Autumn is when things end with a bounteous harvest and that is something to celebrate. Halloween is a big part of that ending. Then comes the sleep of winter as the world prepares for the rebirth of spring. With spring begins new the new growth. Every year, no matter what else is going on, we can depend on this cycle.
