Good morning Halloween Fans!

Sorry for my absence the last few days.

I did go to Cracker Barrel over the weekend and they had a small, but nice selection of Halloween stuff out. It was nice to see and we did pick up a blowmold. It is stacked skulls with a raven on top. Should look good by the front door.

Everyone have a wonderful day!
Sounds perfect. I become more enamored with blowmolds all the time.

DAYS TO JOL DAY #6: 15
DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON: 16

DAYS TO HALLOWEEN SEASON: 61

Happy Tuesday, Halloween Friends! We survived day one of the extreme heat with really no incident. We got lucky because it got very overcast yesterday late afternoon and stayed that way for a few hours, it really beat down the heat and by the time the sun popped back out, it was already low in the sky and the heat was retreating. Today is the second and hopefully final time this summer that it will hit 100 degrees. We had no issue either keeping the house cool, which we are grateful for.

Our counts continue to crawl along through the heat just like us, and we can see that in ONE WEEK from today, we hit our FINAL 100 day milestone in this thread in 2024, that being the "Days to Halloween" count. That's a little scary because I've tried to keep that one out ahead as far as possible. Tomorrow makes only TWO WEEKS until JOL Day #6, which I have always felt like might be one of the most, if not THE most special JOL Day of the season, as it leads us back into Fall Pre-Season. We're going to see a 50's count on the way to Halloween season on Thursday!

Have a great day friends, and stay cool!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Here at the halfway point of the week now and the halfway point of the month is safely behind us! We can see August and the glorious month of Fall Preseason approaching in the distances. The heatwave is over for us and now we only wait for the rains to move in to cool things down. The rest of this week and part of next week look pretty rainy.

You can see from the counts above that we are now only TWO WEEKS away from JOL Day #6, and tomorrow we will be only two weeks from the beginning of Fall Pre-Season, as well as entering into a 50's count on the Days to Halloween Season! Hold on to your pumpkins because I think somehow we have picked up speed again.

With Halloween stuff beginning to adorn the shelves in the stores, I thought I would take the next few weeks and discuss various different Halloween Candy as we head into Fall Pre-Season. Today we're going to take a moment to honor the caramel apple!

The caramel apple might be one of the "staple" foods associated with Halloween! It was created in the 1950's as an "experiment" of sorts!

I also wanted to include this picture below, mentioning what readers/voters consider to be the "worst" Halloween candies. If time permits this year, we might do a mini dive into some of these. If you're curious though, you can look up some of these on your own!

Have a great day, friends!
I totally disagree with 7 of these listed as the worst. No way! Popcorn Ball should have been #1.

I think I'd take candy corn off the list. I've actually taken a liking to it, but I still can't eat a bunch of it. It's just too sweet, but I don't think it's deserving of a spot on the "worst candies" list.

Replace candy corn with "popcorn ball," like Rich suggested, and then I think the list is spot on. There's not a single other option listed that I'd keep for Halloween -- it would all go in the trash, uneaten.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's my Friday. I'm off work tomorrow (needing to use up PTO time before the end of the year because I can't carry it over), so every time I get a three day weekend, that feels a little like a holiday.

Folks, we're only two weeks away from the arrival of Fall Preseason, and the return of NFL football to our TV screens. It seems unfathomable to even be typing that, but like I say all the time, the numbers don't lie.

We've now entered into the 50's in our count towards Halloween season. And enjoy the next five days before we hit 100 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN. That will be the final time in this 2024 thread that we will see a triple digit count!

Have a great day friends, I hope you encounter some CODE ORANGE sightings while you are out and about, I'm for sure going to try and find some when I am off tomorrow!

HomeGoods finally started putting out their Code Orange stuff this week. We were there on Monday evening, and they had a single aisle of Halloween decor. I'm going back this weekend and expecting much more to be stocked by then.

Also, those pumpkin pie M&Ms should be on shelves fairly soon. The announcement said "late summer," so I'm going to be on the lookout.

I took advantage of a Free Shipping and $10 off any order over $49 on Oriental Trading and order with mostly Halloween stuff for the Great Pumpkin Egg Hunt- I haven't encountered any of the Reese's Pumpkins, yet, but I am hopeful!

Good evening Halloween Friends! As you can see, we were offline most of today. When I first got up this morning, I thought it was because of the global crowdstrike outage that took down banks and businesses, etc....

But we're back now and rolling. Holly snapped some pictures for me at Costco, i've just GOT to get over there and check out all the Halloween. Giant decorations are there now and I'm particularly fond of the 8 foot werewolf man.

We're closing in now on the 100 day milestone to Halloween! I truly do want that one to stay out ahead as long as we can, because we are only 4 days away from seeing the last triple digit count in this thread until the 2025 thread goes up!

Have a great evening!
