I will be having October thoughts tomorrow for sure, when we hit the 300 day milestone. Another bonus month milestone that I’m thankful for! It’s nice to know that that’s one less count in the 300s when January arrives.

Unfortunately the time in January feels like trudging through a swamp.
I am excited that we will hit the 300 mark and will see the 200s on Thursday, makes me feel like I have been accomplishing something just be getting here!

Evening Halloween Fans! I hope your week is going good. So far busy here but expected. Packages continue to arrive. I'm afraid this year I lost track of how much I ordered and overdid it a bit like my Halloween candy. Oh well lol. Happy Halloween!

300 days until October 1st.JPG

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's milestone Wednesday! Today we have reached the 300 DAYS TO OCTOBER milestone. Folks, it's hard to believe that 66 days have already passed since we rang in October, but the counts don't lie. In fact, looking at the whole entire year, we are also silently heading into another major milestone, that being the ONE QUARTER way to October, which will be here in about 3 1/2 weeks! Doesn't seem possible, does it?

This special, magical bonus time is doing its thing. We are fully in the Christmas season / Spirit now, but in the background the Halloween counts are whittling down every day. It will really be a shocker to see what those counts look like come the end of this month.

Have a great day, friends!

Happy Milestone Day!!!

Good Morning Friends! Happy Thursday to you all! At long last the weekend is in sight again. And it's another wonderful December weekend, which I think along with October weekends, are the finest weekends out of the entire year.

We are now down to having only ONE count still remaining in the 300's, having passed that mark yesterday on our "Days to October Count", and only the "Days to Halloween" still are hanging on in the 300's.

Our next milestone to keep an eye on now is our "Days to Spooky Spring". In just over two weeks, and just about on the eve of "Christmas Weekend", we will reach 100 Days to Spooky Spring. Wow. that will be our last milestone in December before turning over into a new year.

Have a great day, friends!

Thinking about Halloween during this time of the year strangely reminds me of the game Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. I never actually played this one, but it looked like a very different take from the rest of the series, and instead of the grimy, rusty Silent Hill from the other games, it was an icy, frozen “wonderland” that you had to traverse. If this one is ever remade or re-released on modern consoles, I’d love to pick it up and try it out.

TGIF, Halloween Friends! At long last the weekend is here! And in the buildup to this weekend, I forgot to update our "weeks" counts yesterday, so here they are today in all their glory.

Our next milestone is in exactly two weeks when we will see the arrival of the 100 DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING milestone! I don't want to jump ahead, certainly not during this time, but I'm imagining what it will feel like once the "100 day seal" is broken on that one.

I love this time of year because all of us are so focused on Christmas Season that there really isn't any time to "miss" Halloween like we do the rest of the year. Bonus months doing their thing!

Have a great Friday, friends!

Evening Halloween Fans! I hope you all had a good day. I'm still eating my Halloween candy through the Christmas Season. Is that so wrong? It's crazy how busy work is. It makes me want to rest this weekend coming up. Happy Halloween!
I'm trying to make my Halloween candy last through Spooky Spring. Fingers crossed.

Evening Halloween Fans! I'm with Rich if I could keep it till Spooky Spring I'd be happy. I wonder if you can find any Halloween candy online these days still? Chocolate ages well I think. But I still have plenty myself. Happy Halloween!

We have a discount food store about four miles from here, that sells Halloween / Christmas candy in the "off season". I know what you're thinking. I was leery too. Last April I went there and they had Christmas candy AND Halloween candy, still set up in the seasonal displays. They were all Reese's candies, and they were still good for a whole year according to the dates on the bags. Really spiced up my Spooky Spring and gave me a huge dose of The Feels going in there. But you might be able to buy online still!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Saturday to you all! There's nothing quite like waking up on a Saturday morning, is there?

Today is going to be a warm day, very Bers like - 55 degrees here and sunny. We want to have an outside fire tonight out at the fire pit as long as it isn't too cold and windy by the time it gets dark. Tomorrow is supposed to be a total wash-out, we are supposed to get almost 2 inches of rain and we need it badly. In a typical year, we will already be at about 34 inches. This year, we stand at 27 inches right now, so I'm hoping that tomorrow's storm, plus some rain that's in the forecast next week, will get us closer to almost "normal". We had a bad drought this summer, it didn't rain at all for almost 7 weeks. It was bad.

I was driving home last night and thinking about how unfair it seems that this time of year goes by so fast. Even with us doing all that we can to "slow" time. I was even thinking about how much I will be relishing the first Rudolph Day, Tom Turkey Day, and JOL Day in January, with those dates always serving as a rallying cry that we are exiting "The Slog" and approaching the final couple of weeks before "The Month of Hope" arrives.

But we've got two plus weeks of wonderful Christmas time left before we even have to think about facing that dreaded last week of December. We'll get through it together friends, that's what we are here for.

Have a great day!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Sunday! Our first "winter" storm is here of the season. It's supposed to rain an inch today and then overnight transition to snow. I think it will be too warm to accumulate, but probably the cars and the sidewalks might get a coating.

We continue to march along in our countdowns and can spot this morning that on Tuesday, we will have only 50 days to our first JOL Day of 2024, while not being a milestone in itself, is a friendly reminder that soon we will be back to really chasing Halloween and October when Christmas time concludes. Nobody wants that to go fast.

On "actual" milestone fronts, we still have a way to go until our next proper milestone, that being the 100 DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING, and that one will not be here until Friday the 22nd.

Have a great day, friends!
