Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Saturday to you all! There's nothing quite like waking up on a Saturday morning, is there?
Today is going to be a warm day, very Bers like - 55 degrees here and sunny. We want to have an outside fire tonight out at the fire pit as long as it isn't too cold and windy by the time it gets dark. Tomorrow is supposed to be a total wash-out, we are supposed to get almost 2 inches of rain and we need it badly. In a typical year, we will already be at about 34 inches. This year, we stand at 27 inches right now, so I'm hoping that tomorrow's storm, plus some rain that's in the forecast next week, will get us closer to almost "normal". We had a bad drought this summer, it didn't rain at all for almost 7 weeks. It was bad.
I was driving home last night and thinking about how unfair it seems that this time of year goes by so fast. Even with us doing all that we can to "slow" time. I was even thinking about how much I will be relishing the first Rudolph Day, Tom Turkey Day, and JOL Day in January, with those dates always serving as a rallying cry that we are exiting "The Slog" and approaching the final couple of weeks before "The Month of Hope" arrives.
But we've got two plus weeks of wonderful Christmas time left before we even have to think about facing that dreaded last week of December. We'll get through it together friends, that's what we are here for.
Have a great day!
