Halloween 2025 Countdown!

Good morning Halloween Friends!

Well the 4th of July is now behind us! Last night we did our normal stay at home and swim, have a fire, and relax. We can see fireworks from our house, so need to go anywhere.

But the greatest was that my wife and I started to talk about Halloween. I think she is more excited about Halloween than I am. We were talking about the LED lights we have in our 4 Seasons Room. We currently have them set to Red, White, and Blue. She asked if it would be ok to go ahead and make them Halloween colors on July 5th! She had the same idea about the all-holiday tree, which is currently all patriotic colors and items. She wants to go ahead and decorate it as the Beetlejuice Tree. I am all for both of these ideas of course. Except that we do not yet have all of the needed items for the tree. So, I recommended doing some Halloween shopping this weekend.

So far, I have not seen any Code Orange at stores. Hobby Lobby was the lone exception, which had their Fall items out. I was disappointed in the amount of Christmas they had out. There was some, but no trees or ornaments yet.

Evening Halloween Fans! My sister saw Halloween stuff online and in a store. She's like wow. She loves Halloween like me but when you think about Halloween stuff almost comes out earlier than Christmas stuff does (from the time of the actual holiday). Lucky us. Happy Halloween!

The At Home store is full blown Halloween now. It was so cool to walk thru it all today. I also saw some at Home Goods and Cracker Barrel. Tis the season for Code Orange!

I think I'm at the point with July and these counts in here, I say to everyone look at them very carefully. We will start next month / Fall Pre-Season already down one count, and our "Bers" count will begin at under 30 days to go!

I think all of us are just enjoying every day as we can, trying to find something to enjoy every day, but thinking about everything coming up should make it extra easier. And all I can think about on this Sunday morning is that THE 50 DAY PREVIEW OF THE BERS starts on Sunday!

Evening Halloween Fans! I love Halloween. Did I ever mention that? It's funny how in July we are planning for the Halloween Season (we have to - tickets for some of our events are already out). I think we plan earlier for Halloween than Christmas for sure. Happy Halloween!

I planted mine very late this year, so we may have small pumpkins for October. They just sprouted up a few days ago.

I planted mine on time, but with the wacky weather we have had, they didn't even come up. Means I am going to be in the buying line with some of the others.

I only planted Jack B Littles this year, they have sprouted and I am going to keep it to just one or two vines per whiskey barrel, along with the petunias I planted that I hope will keep the Squash Bugs away. I fractured a bone in my elbow in May so I wasn't up for much more but seeing the leaves sprouting out is making me very happy, I plan on adding tomato cages soon and with this heat, lots of water!!!

Good Morning Halloween Friends!

We start a new week and a new journey back towards the weekend. I know we always say that every weekend feels like a holiday, but this weekend has the special distinction of being the weekend that begins the 50 DAY PREVIEW OF THE BERS. So this weekend, IS, in fact, a holiday.

Our other counts this morning are sort of holding strong. And we don't have anymore Halloween milestones until towards the end of this month.

I think we are in the "Dog Days of Summer" now, as we discussed yesterday. But a friendly warning, I think all of us know what happens to a count once 50 days is reached. We're not there yet but we will be in 6 more days. I can't think of a better way to "wish in" The Bers than the outstanding 50 DAY PREVIEW OF THE BERS.

Good morning Halloween Friends!

A little cooler today, only about 80. With football practices starting for me tomorrow, it certainly is a major sign that Fall is on the way. While the first several weeks of football are quite hot, it brings that sense of Fall even at the very start.

Also, I checked the Spirit Halloween website, and while I do not know the exact location, they are hiring for people to work in at the store that will be near me. Another wonderful sign of the coming of Fall!

Happy Tuesday Fall Folks and Pumpkin People alike! The horrors of Monday are behind us again, and we continue to march (or crawl) towards the weekend! And it's not just any weekend, it's the weekend that the 50 DAY PREVIEW OF THE BERS begins!

Big thanks to Rich yesterday evening for pointing out that this is the final week of my 2025 "offseason", since the preview starting on July 13th means that at least daily we are guaranteed to have 1 Bers topic / event per day from now until July 31st. And the cool thing is, this is really the last WEEK without anything Bers for the rest of the year.

So double nickels today on a HUGE count that is getting smaller and smaller. I think the challenge for myself the rest of this week is to just focus on one task / chore each day for the rest of this week, because after Saturday, I think we're gonna be off to the races.
