Happy Thursday Folks! It's Tom Turkey Day! I like to think of Thursday as "Friday Eve". I also have always felt like it's the last "hard" workday of the week. Maybe some hard stuff happens tomorrow, but the impact is minimized because you have the weekend to look forward to.
Speaking of the weekend, tomorrow begins Spooky Spring Kickoff Weekend. It would be just an understatement to say that we've been looking forward to it.
I remember being in early November, still very much in the Halloween afterglow, but thinking to myself that the missing October/Halloween gut punch would be coming soon, despite the merry festivities. I think it was the very final days of December when I was going through the "stages of grief" and the PFHB's were never very far away. I remember sitting outside at my fire pit, nothing was burning in the ring, I was just sitting on a chair looking at the ring and then it hit me, I really missed the Fall.
And now, Spooky Spring is on the doorstep here to fill that void. I'm going to do my best to mentally pretend I'm back in October again. The decorations here, movie choices, and the weather should make it seamless. Every JOL Day has been building to this. And even when Spooky Spring is over, it's that promise of JOL Day, every one advances us closer to our ultimate goal of being back in The Bers.
Let's get ready to buckle up, friends. I hope all of us find ways to make Spooky Spring special this year!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! We finally made it to the weekend! And it's a BIG WEEKEND, as it is Spooky Spring kick off weekend. Our destination is finally right out in front of us!
The arrival of Spooky Spring means that we are going to be down one count. We're going to lose another count next month when we get to Halfoween. Honestly folks, the only count that still looks "big" is our "Days to Halloween" count and we want that one to stay out there as long as we can.
I'm going to see a 50's count to start next week on "Days to Baby #2". There still might be some days shaved off when we finally get our delivery day, it's all coming so fast. Our next official milestone day will be in ONE WEEK, when we reach 150 DAYS TO THE BERS. We will be comfortably in Spooky Spring by that point!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! At long last the Spooky Spring Kickoff weekend is here! Spooky Spring will officially begin on Tuesday, but we have Dark Arts Sunday tomorrow and JOL Day #3 to officially begin our festivities.
We've waited a long time for this and now Spooky Spring is nearly here.
Spooky Spring is our month-long celebration of all things Halloween and Autumn, culminating on April 30th with "Halfoween", the grand celebration of reaching halfway back to Halloween. We will be indeed halfway to October here in just a few more days.
So now the memory of the long, cold winter fades, and Spooky Spring takes its place:

Evening Halloween Fans! Hard to believe that we're going to head right into Spooky Spring this coming week. Well the temperature is 30 degrees cooler than it was yesterday at this time. It went from way above normal to below normal at the snap of the finger. Happy Halloween!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Welcome to JOL Day #3! Today we are truly standing on the doorstep to Spooky Spring. In less than 18 hours, the clock will strike midnight and we will be firmly in the arms of Spooky Spring.
We've been building towards this I feel ever since Christmas ended, and I feel like the first JOL Day at the end of the long January sort of started us on our journey.
Where does Spooky Spring rank in terms of the festivities? I think obviously aside from the main Christmas countdown, Spooky Spring might come in behind the 50 Day Preview to The Bers, which I think is the #2 most anticipated time on this site other than the main Christmas countdown and maybe the anticipation of the Special Post Series leading into the beginning of Christmas season.
Tonight I have the honor of bringing back out the giant Costco pumpkins, and putting a few Halloween items up at the house here. Abby for days has been saying "Halloween tomorrow?" after telling her that soon the pumpkins would be coming back out.
So the dust is settling soon on March, how was it? Did the Month of Hope deliver like it usually does? The April preview this time is an easy one: SPOOKY SPRING. No more needs said. Have a great day!

THIS is what I’ve been waiting for! FINALLY! I’m so ready to revisit all things spooky! I’m going to work on my Halloween playlist this month. I’m going to play some spooky games. I’m going to watch Harry Potter. And I’m going to look forward to all of the halfway to Halloween updates! I will of course pause my spooky activities for Easter because that’s an underrated holiday that doesn’t get its due.

I like to break out my holiday shirts and pajamas for JOL days too!!!! Tom Turkey days, and Rudolph Eve and Rudolph Days. I hated only wearing them in October, November, and December!This fall I plan on buying some Halloween themed lounge pants to wear on JOL days each month
