After work today, the Fall decorations came down, and the Halloween decorations went up. 'Tis the season to be SPOOKY!

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Happy Saturday Morning!

We have some mighty skinny counts this morning. The very FINAL JOL Day of 2025 is just a mere 3 days away, and the conclusion of that will lead us into the first day of October. We're going to lose two counts in the next 4 days. That's crazy. The only count that will be keeping us company for the majority of next week will be "Days to Halloween"! There is no more weekly count to post on Fridays!

We're down on the goal line now and just about ready to "pound the rock" through to October. Spooky Spooky!

Have a great day!

Hello Halloween Fans! The Halloween Lights were so amazing last Sunday there is talk amongst the Sunday Group of a second visit this season. They go through Mid-November (its so much work they put it up 2 months mid-September to mid-November). It'd be unreal if we did it again. Happy Halloween!

Happy Sunday, Halloween Friends!

The very final "Dark Arts Sunday" of our 2025 Jack O Lantern Day Season is here! And it's really hard to believe that the final JOL Day is in just two days.

Halloween lights are going up today here - It rained all day yesterday and made any kind of outside work near impossible. But we were pretty dry and it's good to be caught back up! We have fluffy green grass too so I'm sure I'm going to be getting caught up on mowing over the next few days. At first it was "mowing my way to The Bers". Now it looks like it's going to be "Mowing my way THROUGH The Bers"!

Have a great Sunday!

Hello Halloween Fans! I wish you all well on this sunny and warm day. I decided to put the shorts away for the season. We have some cooler weather coming in a few days to start off October. Longer range it warms right back up. We are going to Ghost Stories today. Happy Halloween!

I thought I would be putting shorts away this weekend but they are staying out for at least another 2 weeks, maybe by the Monday of Columbus Day weekend.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's Skinny Count Monday! I can't believe that in less than 48 hours the only count we are going to have in this thread is our "Days to Halloween" count.

We won't see a full list of countdowns again until the *New* Halloween 2026 thread goes live either late on Halloween Night, or November 1st, right at the height of Halloween Afterglow.

And it looks like we don't have any 80 degree days to worry about this week, today ironically will be the "hottest" day at 77 degrees. We have some overnight lows getting down into the 40's this week!

I'm thinking that we might have our first pellet stove burn of the 2025-2026 Fall/Winter season at some point next month. I remember when my daughter was born in 2022, our normal morning temps would be in the 30's, and the week we spent in the hospital, I had to run the pellet stove overnight when I was taking turns staying out there and rotating with my Mother-In-Law (due to the visitation policy because of COVID). It later ended up getting warmer again at the back end of October before the temps took a nose-dive when November came knocking. Wonder if this year will be the same?

Have a great day!

JOL Day 08.jpg

Good Morning Pumpkin People! Happy JOL Day! This is the FINAL time we will celebrate Jack O Lantern Day this year! Everybody knows that tomorrow we will welcome October. Bittersweet to write that, but time marches on.

Normally we would do a little "month end review". I think it is different a bit when talking about September. My September was great. I turned 41 years old and I still "feel normal". Lol that was on my mind a lot leading up to it. My September was filled with talking about the rest of Autumn and making plans to take the kids to the pumpkin patch down the road, and looking forward to Halloween. Abby has asked me nearly every day for the past two months "Is Halloween Tomorrow". So we are all ready here.

How was your September?

We lost another countdown this morning. Tomorrow we are going to lose another one. We will only have the Halloween count leading the way until we make the *NEW* 2026 Halloween thread.

Have a great day!

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope your Tuesday is as nice as the one here. It's another nice day. Might as well finish off September (the nicest weather month of the year I dare say) with another nice 75 degree day. Tomorrow OUR month arrives. Happy Halloween!

AMC’s “pre” FearFest has began tonight, with “The Shining” on right now, followed by The Exorcist. Two classics right there for Spooky Season.

Finally found a full month schedule for AMC:

Still looking for SyFy, people have commented that they seem to be largely out of the October scary movie scene, which is awful if true because they brought us Dark Arts Sundays all October long, as well as 31 Days of Halloween!

Tomorrow's lineup on SyFy looks pretty scary to me.
Silent Hill
Exorcist: The Beginning
The Rage: Carrie 2
The Haunting in Connecticut
Saw
Saw 2
Quarantine

Maybe they just don't call it "31 days of Halloween" anymore. I'm going to do some digging. Thanks for sharing the movies! SyFy and AMC are my main "go to channels" during October!
