• Operation Christmas Cheer
Folks, I'll plead guilty to being a Halloween minimalist. Not for me the elaborate decorations beginning the day after Labor Day. For me it's about the day, particularly the night, itself, with some spillage over onto the days immediately before and after. Readers of my Halloween night posts of years past will recall me lightning the pumpkin at sundown and sitting in the darkened front room, drinking hot chocolate and ostensibly waiting for Trick or Treaters, but imaging hearing the spirits abroad in the wind, ushering in The Holidays. An old guy who just can't escape his Celtic roots.

So we're about there. This afternoon is pumpkin carving time (Because that's when you do it.) We've laid in a supply of hot chocolate. I'll see you tomorrow night.

Hello Halloween Fans! A year long in this thread and now we're down to 1 day. Huh? That's just amazing. If you've followed the Hang Out this month you've seen all of my reviews on the activities I've done. My Halloween Season has been the best yet. It seems to get better every year. Happy Halloween!

Wow. Tomorrow is Halloween and we will be half way thru the Bers!

I am off tomorrow and I am going to enjoy a spooky night, tonight with carving pumpkins and hopefully catch a Halloween show or movie. Spooky Season has flown by, but I feel we did a lot this year.

Hello Halloween Fans!

It has been a rainy day here, but nice and cool.
Tonight is Beggar's night for everyone in the county. Does not impact me, no trick or treating where I live outside of town.

Tomorrow at school I will step away from my normal US History lesson and talk about the history of Halloween and some of the famous characters associated with the season. It is always a fun time and a nice break from the normal history stuff.
