I'm old enough to remember when this show originally aired. Fenster was played by Marty Ingels, later better known for being married to the lovely Shirley Jones.

We have some episodes on DVD, but apparently the entire series was never released to video. Mr. remembered the show first-run. I liked the episodes I’ve seen on DVD. We read that Stan Laurel enjoyed the show and used to send in gags for them to use!

Hello Halloween Fans! I hope you are doing well. It's sunny out today. Woke up to temps into the 40s though for the first time in my town probably since May. But it feels nice still with the sun out and temps warming through the 60s. Happy Halloween!

Hello Halloween Fans!
The weather had just been so wonderful recently. Today not only was it nice and cool, but the sun was also out for a bit. We are going to be getting back into the 70s, but still that is not bad and is really normal.

I have been looking at some Fall/Halloween festivals for October and I am hoping we are able to find time to make it to at least something. There are several events going on through the month, but it is also a busy month for us already.

This weekend is going to be busy also. We have the first tryout day for the Women's Football team on Saturday. Then Sunday I will be heading to Cleveland for the Browns game.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! TGIF!!

My final day of being 41. Tomorrow is my birthday! I'm hoping to go into town tomorrow and buy myself a Nintendo Switch 2. I have been saving money on the side for months. I'm going to be all ready for the Ocarina of Time Remake, and also I hope to play Mario Kart World with Abby this Christmas.

Our counts are really thin now. Well under a week to the FINAL Jack O Lantern Day of 2026, and under a week now until OCTOBER is back.

I can't wait for FearFest to start this year on October 1. I don't have SyFy anymore since going to streaming TV, but outside of Harry Potter, there weren't a lot of movies that I liked that played there.

They are celebrating my birthday today at the office, I heard a rumor they were going to buy me Costco Pizza, which is my favorite pizza.

Good Morning Halloween Friends!

I'm headed out here later this morning to catch a matinee showing of "Resident Evil" with Holly for my Birthday. I turn the big 42 today.

Later today I'm going out to get my motor at harbor freight, and have ready to install in my old John Deere, I may do it tomorrow or one night this evening. Essentially with us moving towards winter, I have all winter to install it. I really just need it up and running by the time of our antique tractor show next July! I'm sure I'll have it done well before then!

We're going to finish up the Halloween decorations outside today, and then maybe after dinner if the wind isn't too bad, we're going to have a little outside fire. It's going to be a perfect evening for one.

Good Morning Halloween Friends!

It's a big Sunday here. We're standing on the doorstep to October being here THIS WEEK. That means we are going to have a skinny countdown for a month.

My birthday was great and I honestly feel no different at 42.

I noticed yesterday that we are starting to have some leaves fall here, just here and there, and our trees are starting to turn colors now in larger "clumps" than just a leaf here or there. I'm going to try and get the front yard mowed today, there's a chance of rain this afternoon, and we got a nice shower yesterday evening.

Good Morning Pumpkin People!

Happy Monday, Again! It feels like the weekend went really fast! I think a lot of that was just the running around we did for my birthday, and then the mad scramble of trying to get the yards mowed before the rains moved in.

It's a big week here in the Halloween thread. We are going to see the very final Jack O Lantern Day of 2026 in less than 48 hours! And of course that means that when Jack O Lantern Day is winding down / over, arriving in October is "up next".

And when all of that happens we are going to lose TWO main counts, and it will just be our "Days to Halloween" countdown, the final 30 days until Halloween 2026. Just unbelievable to write that.

Maybe some more time for some reflection this week before we lose the final two counts. Speaking of countdowns, it's 38 days until Ocarina of Time comes out on the Switch 2 lol.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! Just one day now until the very final Jack O Lantern Day of 2026!

There's about 42 hours left until October 1st arrives. Bittersweet? Maybe. Always sad to see September go when we wait for it so hard / long each year. I won't post any reflections tomorrow because it's JOL Day and the sheer joy of standing on the doorstep to October will be overwhelming.

We're in such a good place in the year. It will be easy to miss September, the gentle introduction to THE BERS that we have waited for all year. But still thinking of the last 3 months is enough to get anybody excited. The 4th quarter is obviously my favorite quarter out of the year.

I can say that September felt good and fair. I didn't feel rushed, and there weren't any times that I felt like time was moving unnecessarily slow or fast. I'm hoping for the same out of October.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It is indeed the final day of September and the very FINAL Jack O Lantern Day of 2026. Bittersweet to write that in a way, it really is. But it's impossible to ever get to October, the ultimate destination in this thread, without passing through September.

Folks, it's felt like Autumn for weeks now here with the weather, most of our houses everywhere are decorated for Halloween, and in general we are just "there" mentally. When Jack O Lantern Day winds down tonight, it's October essentially. And what a great place to be.

I think September went by nice and slow. I really truly hope October does the same thing! Pumpkin People I hope you are well and have a fantastic last day of September!

Happy Last JOL Day of 2026!

I’m sorry I’ve been absent around here lately. There has been a lot going on! I just got back last night from bringing my dad to the ER. Long story, but he’s fine, thankfully!

I was planning on starting Super Castlevania IV for this month’s JOL Day, but as busy as I’ve been I haven’t even finished Order of Ecclesia yet. So I’ve decided that that’s what I’ll do, and then for Halloween next month I’ll start straight into Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Playing these Castlevania games has been a great way to evoke some Spooky Season feels, and I can’t wait to take it even further next year.

Happy Last JOL Day of 2026!
