Good Morning Halloween Friends! Probably the coldest day/night of the winter is over now. Everything from this point forward is truly headed up.
It's Superbowl Sunday. For many people myself included, this is sort of the "last" event happening that connects us to Holiday Season 2025. After the Superbowl is over, there's really no action to take except count down to The Month of Hope!
By the way, that count is 21 days! Just three weeks!
We are going to see the 50 DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING milestone, and also on FRIDAY THE 13th, we will see 200 DAYS TO THE BERS. It is going to be an extremely exciting week for Halloween/Autumn fans.

A nearby town is having a Galentine's Night Out in their downtown area on Friday, I am meeting a group of friends there for dinner and I might do a bit of shopping but I would much prefer a Friday the 13th theme!

Happy Monday and Milestone Eve! We are indeed on this Monday standing on the doorstep of a major milestone, that one being the 50 DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING. We are also counting down silently to meteorological Spring which now stands at a mere 39 days, believe it or not.
This is essentially a big milestone week for us here in the Halloween thread as tomorrow we reach 50 DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING, and then on Friday, FRIDAY THE 13th is here, along with 200 DAYS TO THE BERS. It will feel outstanding this coming weekend to see that Bers count down in the 100's.
The only count that I am fine with it taking its time is that "Days to Halloween" count. When we get into mid March, "Days to Halloween" will be the only count still in the 200's. Everybody is fine with wishing for The Bers to return. Nobody would be fine with wishing away Halloween!

But don't over do it, we still need to save some fun for FRIDAY THE 13th, when Jason (not my son) arrives to help us usher in 200 DAYS TO THE BERS. Things are seriously going to start looking and feeling different soon!

This is exactly what I needed to see today. 50 days until Spooky Spring! That makes me feel so much better. It's not far off at all. I feel like I "have permission" now to start looking up Halloween news.

Ohhhhhh, so that's what you meant by "Jason" in the Bers thread. I completely missed that it was going to be Friday the 13th this month! Yay! Free JOL Day!
I haven't really seen any good Halloween news yet. It must still be too early. I'm especially on the lookout for any new Halloween candy this year. Hopefully next month we should start seeing the first little tidbits of Halloween news as we head towards Halfoween.

Tomorrow, on FRIDAY THE 13th, we are going to reach the 200 DAYS TO THE BERS milestone. I personally feel like that milestone, as well as when we hit 50 DAYS TO SPOOKY SPRING, were probably the biggest milestones in the bleak, winter doldrums part of our countdowns.
And Friday the 13th I feel like is always an "extra" JOL Day.
Speaking of Spooky Spring, I believe that it will soon be time to start planning out my movie lineup. Over the long weekend, I might just pencil in some of the stuff on the weekends and then try and build around it. I am also planning a big "beginning" to Spooky Spring which I will talk about in the days / weeks to come.
