Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's milestone Monday!

Today we indeed have reached 250 DAYS TO HALLOWEEN. It's our biggest count, and the singe count that I think I am trying to keep out ahead of me as far as possible. I know. I normally try and rush them. But nobody on this thread including myself wants to speed through October, even as much as we love Thanksgiving and Christmas Season.

We've also entered into 150's territory on our "DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON" count. I know that is going to be an exciting milestone when we hit the 150 day marker here in less than two weeks. I'm trying to think back this morning of last year at this time, we had about three months to go before we had Jason. The winter doldrums were getting to me, I felt like time wasn't moving, all the anxiety over every doctor visit and scan. This year is different. A normal healthy baby boy (who turned 9 months old yesterday, btw), and we are in a much better mental place heading into Spooky Spring 2026.

We are in the final week of February, the silver lining is "The Month of Hope" that shows up on Sunday. Maybe @Escalation will be here with his 72 hours left meme on Thursday as we count down the final days of February.

Have a great day!
Nine months old! That does not seem possible, weren't we just keeping an eye on the weekly count until Baby #2 was going to arrive?

Looking back on the 2025 Halloween Thread, I believe the first day that I mentioned to anybody that we were expecting #2 was on December 28th, 2024, and Holly had been pregnant for roughly 3 months by that point:

The first day that I added the Baby #2 count was on December 31st, 2024

On January 22nd, 2025, I was already posting about needing volunteers to keep the counts going, 4 months in advance lol. (It was starting to get to me)

And on January 23rd, we asked for thoughts and prayers on the complete anatomy scan - this was truly a harrowing day (everything ended up being fine!)

On February 13th, 2025, we had exactly 13 weeks to go, and mentioned that Holly would start going to the doctor every two weeks once she hit thirty weeks:

We hit 100 days to go on February 18th, 2025. This was when we were still working with what we thought would be the due date of May 29th, 2025.

I didn't post for a little while about the baby until March 11th. I was happy the count was finally under 100 days and for the first time felt like time was moving again:

On April 1st, I was celebrating the arrival of Spooky Spring but also wishing that I could "wish away" the time because I wanted it over. I was under heavy anxiety / strain during this point with still almost two full months to go:

We were six weeks to go on April 8th!!

Finally had the finish line in sight - 30 days to go as of April 29th:

May 8th, 2025 - Three weeks to go!

May 13th - 2025 - We got moved up by one week after we had the growth scan

And we were off to the races on May 22nd:

Thanks for going down memory lane with me! Believe it or not, I look through the old threads a few times a year to relieve my memories of having Abby and Jason. Looking back in hindsight, the anxiety was always present and I could tell how it was getting to me more and more as I plodded grimly forward towards our due dates.

This was fun!

Good Morning Pumpkin People! Monday is over. It's Tuesday and we're taking another step towards the weekend and the arrival of THE MONTH OF HOPE.

And it sure seems like old man winter is making a last stand. It's calling for back to back snowstorms again on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Crazily enough it jumps back up into the 50's and seems like it stays there as far as the long-term forecast can go. I sure hope so. I don't think anybody wants to imagine another full month of winter weather.

I think this weekend during JOL day and especially in the days after, I am going to get my movie schedule picked out for Spooky Spring. I am looking so forward to it!

Have a great day!

Hello Halloween Fans! We have a nice sunny day here after the blizzard. Funny how Saturday was nice (and mild) and today is at least sunny but the 2 days in between were a total disaster lol. Mother Nature teases you that way. Happy Halloween!

Thank you for sharing! What a fun trip back in time and how neat that you go back and look at old posts! It is kind of like flipping back through an old journal or diary. I think this one is worthy of printing out and keeping in a baby book or whatever is the equivalent of that now. I also think it would be fun if you shared some retrospectives more often, maybe on their birthdays? Or maybe just make sure every year you post an updated list of their Halloween costumes, or what the Easter Bunny brought them? Truly, thanks for sharing, it made me feel like family!!!

We had a chance of snow in the forecast, 1-2 inches tonight and 2-4 more overnight on Wednesday but the chances are now under 25%, I feel like one more storm is inevitable but the closer we get to March the more I keep thinking I just might dodge any more major shoveling for this winter.

Good Morning Halloween Friends! It's finally hump day. First off, Happy Rudolph Day to everyone! And it's Tom Turkey Day Eve!

We're literally standing on the doorstep now to The Month of Hope. JOL Day #2 is in three days. I feel strong connections between Month of Hope Eve and the last JOL Day in July before we turn over to Fall Pre-Season. An argument could also be made for feeling like Halfoween night when we know that the next day is May, and in not so many more weeks "THE ROAD" has opened back up. Heck any JOL day that is right before a turning point. They are all special.

And looking on the counts this morning we can see that in just ONE WEEK, we will have reached 150 DAYS TO FALL PRESEASON. Holy Cow!

Remember, tomorrow will be our February wrap-up/review, and Thursday will be our March preivew! Have a great day!

I’m going to have the house all to myself for JOL Day this year. My oldest daughter will be at a church retreat, and my wife is bringing my youngest to a friend’s house for a play date. That’ll give me about 3-4 hours of Halloween bliss all on my own. If I wasn’t dieting I’d go buy a Butterfinger and watch a movie, but since I am still doing the keto thing, I guess I’ll forego the treat.

Howdy Pumpkin People! Finally at Thursday this week. I can honestly see THE MONTH OF HOPE popping out over the horizon. Less than 72 hours now. It's a good feeling. And that "Days to Spooky Spring" count is now just a little over a month. Obviously beginning on Sunday, Spooky Spring will be just ONE MONTH away. It feels incredible.

It's time now for our February wrap up / Review. We hit three big milestones by my count this month:

- 50 Days to Spooky Spring (2/10/26)
- 200 Days to The Bers (2/13/2026) celebrated on Friday the 13th!
-250 Days to Halloween - (2/23/2026)

My personal thoughts on February: The month started off with great fanfare, we were all happy to exit January, and with THE MONTH OF HOPE lying only 29 days away from that point, there was lots of reasons to be excited. My February was moving along fairly but due to weather and other things going on, the 3rd week of February I started feeling the doldrums and maybe very small doses of PCB's. But when the last week hit (this week) I felt like time was moving again and I got a huge boost knowing that THE MONTH OF HOPE is arriving this weekend!
Thanks for joining me today for our wrap-up. Tomorrow we will preview March a.k.a - THE MONTH OF HOPE. Have a great day!

I am trying to change my mindset and go into March with a goal of avoiding the doldrums that I have faced in Marchs past. Week One: Move more, and earlier in the day. I HOPE I can stick with it!
