I don't know if I will watch it this year, I only watched (tolerated) it last year because 2 of the contestants were from my area. (Luke Menard, Amanda Overmyer). Ironically one of my favorite groups is Daughtry (former contestant Chris Daughtry) and I like David Cook from last season. My daughter (5½) thinks he is cute. cheesy
I cannot wait until the new season begins. I cannot help myself being such a fan of this show. So Tues, Jan 13th is the first show? I'll be watching and posting my thoughts and waiting to read what others think about the contestants.
Nope, I'm proud to say that my streak of avoiding money spent on anything Idol is safe. Although I did see DC on a New Year's Eve show where he was playing somewhere and I was tempted...

Haven't bought any Idol cd's, but I sure love the show. Except for the nutty auditions. Some of those are very funny, though.

I only started watching Idol because I heard on the radio that Rascall Flatts was going to be on the Final show with Carrie Underwood and since I love RF I had to watch. Then my husband and I decided to watch the auditions since they are the best part of the show and after that I just had to see how they did. Now I watch it whether I like it or not. If I don't like the person singing I just fast forward since I tivo it anyway.
The best part for me is people watching...meaning watching my youngest kids watching AI. I just loved it when my 6 year old, while watching some washed up artist using AI to promote their latest album, turned to me during their song and said "She is so gone tonight..."
But the funny thing is most of them DON'T know
I've seen so many wannabes with "training" who couldnt carry a tune in a 50 gallon drum
I have to think theres alot of folks out there taking money for lessons & telling people "oh you sound wonderful"

My daughter got David Cook's cd and let me borrow it...not bad. (I loaded it onto my computer with the rest of my music.) My sis in law let me borrow David Archuleta's and I did the same. I have bought Carrie Underwood's and Kellie Pickler's cds. I have one other but I can't recall his name.
I'm so looking forward to Tuesday night. I love the auditions! I don't care for some of the attitudes and language some use. If they could (would?) only take a look at themselves to see what they look like. If only........

that´s exactly the way it is....people do everything to get on TV....the German version starts soon again....and I hate it....I really am no fan...the goody ones are always voted out by the viewers...and told by the judges they are too good....excuse me what? too good? haha...the show...in Germany is a joke...the only thing are the auditions.....
