I never watch the British version let alone the American version they will be showing soon. Its tacky and only geared towards one muiscal genre. At the end of the day the programme is all about making money for Simon Cowell and the record companies. They expose and exploit people and after one hit wonder they are never heard from again!!!

this is just my opinion

I have never watched "American Idol", but I do have Kelly Clarkson's and one of the second place finishers CDs. Can't recall his name but he really rocks and he recently put out an expanded version of his first release.

I am very ready for Idol to begin. I guess they've made a lot of changes this year. Not so many of the comic characters. I sort of liked that part. Well, some of them. lol.

I look forward to American Idol starting this month. I grew up watching variety shows which have faded from tv land and Idol is the next best thing. I enjoy watching the hopefuls making it and though I don't always agree with the chosen winner, I am happy for them. Hey it's on tonight. Good I have something to watch on prime time tv that is not a rerun. It's been a long winter.

Yay!!!!

I love American Idol!! The auditions are my favorite part :D
