My proposal to the Group
The 25th of each month is Rudolph Day. A lot of people enjoy recognizing it. Some of us even celebrate it. I was thinking that we could do something similar for Thanksgiving by making the fourth Thursday of each month Tom Turkey Day. I've really enjoyed recognizing the 26th of each month here in this thread. But next year Thanksgiving falls on the 25th and I don't think it would be much fun competing with Rudolph. So my proposal to the group is that starting with our Countdown to Thanksgiving 2021, we recognize the fourth Thursday of each month as Tom Turkey Day. What do you think?

Oh my great God, this is maybe one of the greatest ideas I have ever heard of. Rudolph Day / Mini Christmas was already such a staple of my life even prior to joining MMC. I do look forward to it each month, it helps me not miss Christmas so bad, and it seems to be enjoyed by all.
As time evolved, i noticed that I still had that longing for Fall / Halloween, so i began incorporating my own "Mini Halloween" into the year, celebrating on each month that had a 31st. You have inspired me to try and reach more people on "Mini Halloween", but i'm not sure how much of a Halloween presence we have on here?
Anyway, great idea @Rich! I will be happy to celebrate Tom Turkey Day beginning next month. I am already getting serious excitement realizing that there will be months where i have Mini-Halloween, Rudolph Day, AND TOM TURKEY DAY!
Now, in keeping with the naming traditions, i may have to come up with a better name than "Mini Halloween". I am open to suggestions.
Snake, you need to start a Halloween thread! Much like we have with The Bers and Thanksgiving and the Christmas Countdown! Do we have a Halloween countdown on MMC? If so, I must have missed it. If not, you are the perfect person to start one!
Also, for mini-Halloween, I like "Boo Day" or maybe "Pumpkin Day"? Or "David S. Pumpkins Day"? LOL
EDIT: I just found the Halloween Countdown thread on MMC. Wow, I can't believe I overlooked it for so long!
There's already a National Pumpkin Day (Oct 26).We do have one on there. I post on it during my Mini Halloweens, and halloween related milestone days, etc..
Pumpkin Day was also one of my first thoughts, because i think at its core, Halloween is a nice mashup of Harvest / Fall, and it keeps towards the "Day" theme we have going - Rudolph Day, Tom Turkey Day, Pumpkin day? Anyway, i don't want to hijack the Thanksgiving Thread, i am going to post on our already established Halloween countdown thread to gauge interest. It is in my lineup already, but it would be cool to have a group of us here to celebrate it together. I think from the posts i've been reading, there is already a core group of us that love everything related to THE BERS, so i think that would cover having Pumpkin day be part of that!
Again, and i can't think him enough, but thank you @Rich for giving us all something else to look forward to. MMC is awesome!
Great idea!! I am in...My proposal to the Group
