o.k. here is a fun movie. title Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade.... cute plot but not totally chick-a- fide (as my husband would say)... the lead actress is quite funny.

Thanks for the recommendation! It looks good!

COUNTDOWN TO THANKSGIVING 2020: 16 DAYS

Happy Double Digits November! Oh boy folks we're into double digits November. Isn't that AMAZING? Think about it. Well here is our final countdown we have left in this thread: 16 days left till Thanksgiving. That's 2 weeks + 2 days from today. 16 precious days to go. We better take it all in everyday now. I know that I am. And it's been a heck of a ride here with all of you. I don't want it to end. I want to stay where we are right now. Who's feeling that Thanksgiving build happening now? Who here is excited for it coming? This is what we all wait for. And we're really right in the thick of it now. And I mean turkey season. Have a great Double Digits November!

I am so excited for Thanksgiving this year. Even though it won't be "normal" due to not being with family. I am still looking forward to celebrating with Michelle and Austin, and maybe some church friends/family. There is plenty to be thankful for. :)

Alright, here it is. *drum roll*

I have decided upon these cheeses for my mac and cheese this year:

Sharp cheddar
Fontina
Brie

I have never used brie before, so I'm excited to try it out this year. I have read about its magical creamy properties and thought it would be a great fit with the sharp cheddar as a base and the fontina for some flavor.

Sounds good...I love Brie!!

I am looking forward to Thanksgiving too! I am excited to put up Christmas decorations early and to enjoy the entire time off!

With the recent very positive news about the vaccine coming it really made me think we could be fully back to normal before The Bers 2021...and I think that some things that we didn't get to do this year will only make it more fun and awesome doing it next year (while still enjoying all the things we can do this Bers).

COUNTDOWN TO THANKSGIVING 2020: 15 DAYS

Happy Veteran's Day! To those who served thank you very much. That's the least I can say. As we look at our Thanksgiving 2020 countdown we have 15 days remaining until "The Big Day." That pretty much sums up what Thanksgiving Day is. I was really pondering about it yesterday and how close we are now. And thinking how is that possible? But it is...and it's an amazing feeling. Our final milestone before The Big Day is the "Home Stretch" which will reach us in 5 days on Monday. That is when we will be down to 10 days remaining until Thanksgiving. Pretty awesome if you ask me. I hope you all have a great day dreaming of turkey and stuffing. Have a great Veteran's Day!

The turkey breasts from organic prairie were so delicious I ordered six more. I'm giving one to my brother & SIL for their thanksgiving and just gave another one to someone in the building who injured her foot. She lives alone and doesn't think her daughter will make it here from CA due to the increase of CV in Florida.

She was delighted. We're both getting our groceries delivered so she can buy the sides she wants and our grocery store does prepare Thanksgiving dinners and sides that are very good.

COUNTDOWN TO THANKSGIVING 2020: 14 DAYS

Happy Dozen Days of November! Ok, it's Thursday again folks. Let's talk about our countdown in terms of weeks first today. We have 2 weeks till Thanksgiving. That would be only 2 more than 0 lol. We have 14 days remaining till Thanksgiving as you can see above in case you don't want to pull out your trusty calculator. How is that possible? I'm not sure but I remember CW posting his first video on an "even" week to Thanksgiving when it was 50 weeks away and I thought to myself "well that means he'll be posting one on Thanksgiving Day if he continues that trend." And here we are now on an even week to Thanksgiving...and he's about to post his FINAL video before we reach Thanksgiving 2020. I'm not sure what else to say except our final milestone is on Monday when we reach the "Home Stretch" to Thanksgiving. That says it all. Have a great Dozen Days of November!

Good for you man! My Wife makes a special mac and cheese on the holidays, it involves many different kinds of cheeses. We kind of use it sparingly, because all of the cheeses are kind of expensive! I like to see other people do special mac and cheeses, as it is one of my favorite holiday / anytime meal!

Did a trial run of the turkey on the smoker yesterday....

I can't wait to make another one that thing was sooooo good.
I do them quite often on the smoker during the summer. I have changed up my method now. I add sliced onion, apple, celery, carrot and pear into my water tray. I use pecan and shag bark hickory for the wood. (Dont overdo the hickory) here is the change I have made. I only smoke the turkey for 3-4 hours, remove it and place it in a oven bag to finish in the oven. It has cut out on turkeys getting dry and over smoked. I forgot I also fill the turkey with apple, onion, pear during smoking.,
