Slow waddle may be the phrase I will forever more use to describe 2020! LOL! And congrats on not burning the bottoms of the rolls! I used the kind from the freezer but they never rose and were very dense, they still tasted good, but not a hit.Get ready to start the slow waddle into 2021...mid year Turkey Day and Christmas in July. I already bought my mid year supplies since the stuffing I like is only available now. I have 3 crockpots and a turkey fryer kettle brewing away making stock to freeze.
UPDATE: 1st Thanksgiving in quite awhile I didnt burn the roll bottoms. Kids were overjoyed and I have overcome a life hurdle!
Sometimes you need to just call it quits and splurge on a new pan. Had a ham do it once to me.I am so excited to be here at the beginning and I am looking forward to each milestone. My Thanksgiving was enjoyable but I am still soaking the roaster pan, the glaze I put on the turkey breast is really stuck on there. I am going to tackle it before dinner. So happy to be here!
And today would be the day to do it, I have seen some pretty good sales on pots and pans online!Sometimes you need to just call it quits and splurge on a new pan. Had a ham do it once to me.
Thanks for following & posting here!
Just one of many ways we think alike.Awesome. I love the kickoff to new threads.
I messed up my Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese and did something wrong when I added the shredded sharp cheddar and instead of melting in smoothly, it clumped and the oil separated. I was disappointed because the flavor seemed like it would have been good, but by the time it cooled it was a lumpy mess, luckily everything else was good and there was plenty to go around.I will be finishing up the Thanksgiving leftovers today and will be glad they are gone. They are delicious for sure, but after a while I feel like I'm shoveling too much down my gullet. We finished off the mac and cheese yesterday and it was a relief.
Speaking of, the brie didn't work out for the mac and cheese. I wasn't used to removing the rind, and I kind of messed it up. Instead, my wife ran to the store and picked up a smoked gouda and saved the day. We'll try again with the brie for Christmas.
Great minds....Just one of many ways we think alike.
I got heartburn last night from a late bowl of stuffing and gravy. We still have leftovers everywhere and it looks like its up to me.....Anybody still having leftovers? We will clear our leftovers out today.
Did you use the pre shredded stuff? That stuff is so dry it always either clumps or has no taste. I just buy blocks now and use the old shred box. Guess they make the pre shredded dry so it doesnt clump.I messed up my Butternut Squash Mac and Cheese and did something wrong when I added the shredded sharp cheddar and instead of melting in smoothly, it clumped and the oil separated. Technically, I didn't shred it, it was more cubed, although now that you mention it the block did seem crumbly/dry when I cubed it, I thought that maybe I had cooked in at too high of a temperature. The recipe did specifically call for the cheese to be shredded so maybe the larger chunks was where I went wrong.Did you use the pre shredded stuff?
