I missed Tom Turkey Day and the 300-day milestone. 
Stupid migraine.
I think my wife felt bad for me, because she looked up a recipe for some kind of Thanksgiving casserole that involves turkeys breasts, dressing, almonds, and cranberries. She said she'd make it for me this week. Aren't wives just the best?

Happy Farewell to January! Oh folks it's the end of the 1st month of the year later tonight. Can you believe that? And nothing against January but it is my least favorite month and the last few days with the cold and now the impending big snowstorm coming reminds me why. But I'll enjoy the snow as much as I can and dream of warmer days ahead and then of course TURKEY! Speaking of turkey here are our 3 counts this morning: 298 days till Thanksgiving, 274 days till November, and 213 days till The Bers. That's 3 big countdowns being wound down a little with all of them in the 2's now. Our next milestone? It's tomorrow! We reach the arrival of the 3rd of 11 months on our way back to the most amazing month of the year known as November. That will be a big milestone to start the week and the month off with. Have a great Farewell to January!

Turkey & Sausage Gumbo is on tap for our dinner later tonight, the end of "Soup Week", and farewell to January as today we ushered in the ONE QUARTER point to Halloween. January is my least favorite month to pass in the countdown, but I am fortunate that this year's January was not as bad as most, in fact, the first two weeks went fairly well and was almost fun, but I felt like we were spinning our wheels around the 3rd week before the arrival of Rudolph Day charged the meter again. January was a long month and I'm happy to see it go! ALL of the holidays seem easier to think about once you are in February!

Seems crazy that in less than two weeks we're only 200 days til the Bers.
I've dealt with them for most of my life. Had numerous CT scans and MRIs, and my neurologist says my brain is fine, so I guess I just drew the short straw. I don't eat a lot of processed meats or stuff with nitrates either. So I dunno. They are debilitating though.
But yes, I do get Thanksgiving casserole this week as a make-up, so that's awesome.
Well...we made it to the last day of Jan. Its been a snow filled mess this year and tomorrow now wont be a improvement. At least we are now through 1/2 of winter.
Crazy yes...true too though!
And we're getting our fair share of snow today...oy.

Happy February Arrives! And it has arrived with a big time snowstorm here. It also has arrived with a brand new week. And it has arrived with 3 new countdown numbers. They are the following: 297 days till Thanksgiving, 273 days till November, and 212 days till The Bers. Happy Milestone Day! We have reached the 3rd month of 11 on our way back to November as the arrival of February is here now. Our next milestone folks? It's a big one. It's another huge one and it's centered around The Bers. It is indeed in 12 days when we reach the 200 Day Marker to The Bers. How's that sound? We just finished the 3's count to Thanksgiving and now we're on the road to completing the 2's count to The Bers. Incredible! And with it being Monday I've got our weekly count to Thanksgiving Week (the best week of the year) which is now at 42 weeks. That is HUGE also because believe it or not 10 weeks ago was Thanksgiving Week. Folks that's 20% of the weeks basically that have gone since that Monday. That's crazy. Ahh well. Everything is crazy including this big snowstorm we're dealing with today. Have a great February Arrives!

That days to the BERS count jumped out at me this morning! Under two weeks until we hit the 200 day milestone? That's big time. And the count makes sense to me. I remember really missing Autumn last year around that time. The arrival of Spring and the start of Christmas hunting seems like it really ramps up "The Feels" for Autumn / The Bers.
Eyes on the prize: 12 more days until we break that Bers milestone on the countdown! That'll be a joyous occasion, to be sure, and then we can smash through the 250 mark on the days until November. If nothing else, February will bring some notable milestones on our way back to Thanksgiving!
Today I got the first wave of anticipation for what the Monday of Thanksgiving week really feels like! I don't think there is a Monday I look forward to as much as the one 42 weeks from today!
