Thanksgiving 2021 Thread

That's why we countdown to that whole week. That Monday is absolutely the most amazing Monday of the year!
lol well CW hopefully it won't be too bad of a summer...my back is aching now from all this snow so I could use some sweat to be honest!
DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 296
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 272
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 211
Happy Groundhogs Day! Well it doesn't matter if he sees his shadow or not I know we have more winter left after yesterday's 18 inches of snow that fell. Let's look at our 3 counts this morning: 296 days till Thanksgiving, 272 days till November, and 211 days till The Bers. Well those 3 counts are not aching at all. They're all looking and feeling good unlike my back from all that snow shoveling. Our next milestone will be in 11 days when we reach the 200 Day Marker to The Bers. That's huge folks. To even think we can be that close to a 200 Day Marker when we just reached the 300 Day Marker to Thanksgiving shows you how long The Bers lasts for us thankfully. On to shoveling day 2 on day 2 of February. Have a great Groundhogs Day!

Our groundhog was under snow so he didnt see anything. Luckily we got new Artic Cats to help out.
I agree, and the countdown really keeps the fire burning for me! What a boost to feel a bit if that excitement this early in the countdown!

Happy Superbowl Week! It's been the Superbowl of Snowstorms this week with a final tally of 22 inches of it. My aching back. It's almost heavier than lifting that great big turkey out of the oven on Thanksgiving Morning. See how everything makes me think of Thanksgiving? We have 3 counts to get to so let's do it: 295 days till Thanksgiving, 271 days till November, 210 days till The Bers. Our next milestone will be in 10 days folks when we reach the very important 200 Day Marker to The Bers. That will be amazing. Rich pointed it out yesterday, and he's 100% right, soon there is going to be a big yearning for The Bers, and Thanksgiving. Mine always gets me right in the early Spring. Just like clockwork. It "feels" good, to get the Feels! I love that all three counts on here are now in the 200's!

Cheerful Weds everyone! Well the snow storm has gone past us now. We are officially butt deep in snow here. Luckily I would make random passes with the snowblower yesterday otherwise it wouldn't have been able to be used today.
Tonight is my makeup Tom Turkey Day celebration since I missed it last week. Here's what's cooking:
This is seasoned turkey breast with long grain wild rice, slivered almonds, onions, cranberries, and apples simmering in the slow cooker. Not a Thanksgiving-style casserole as I originally thought, but still a Thanksgiving-adjacent meal. After work I'm going to pick up some dinner rolls to complete the ensemble. And if I happen to find a pumpkin pie, even better.
Tonight the "Feels" will be real.

We have 294 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 270 days left until November, and 209 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone is 1 week from Saturday when we reach the incredible 200 Day Marker to The Bers. How is that possible? I don't know. I can't even imagine hitting the "1s" by next weekend! It's only February for goodness sakes! Today is Thursday and our friend CW will be here to post some video(s) for us. I am looking forward to see what he has in store for us today. I love doing our polls every other Thursday but equally enjoy CW's every other Thursday video. It keeps Thursdays special here in this thread just like the most special one of all Thanksgiving. I've got a snippit of my "all year countdown" calendar, with the February items that are coming up. We've got some good stuff! Seeing the count to the BERS get into the 1's will be amazing. But it does seem hard to believe, with us only in February. But like I always say, the numbers don't lie!
