Happy New Year!!!

I sure hope we have a "normal" Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade this year. Fingers crossed.

Finally, 2021. Time to start looking ahead instead of looking back. I can't wait to see what's in store for THIS Thanksgiving, and we've got a ton of milestones in January across all of the holiday countdown threads.

For Thanksgiving in particular, my hope is that by that time we will be able to gather with family and friends again, and - like @Rich said - we have a normal parade. Regardless, I will have both a COVID plan and a COVID-free plan ready and will enact whichever one depending on the situation.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 327
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 303
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 242

Happy January Weekend! We are now into the new year day 2 and into the weekend 1 part 1. Did that confuse you? I hope not. But these 3 counts may be more straightforward: 327 days till Thanksgiving, 303 days till November, and 242 days till The Bers. Those 3 counts are all correct and straight at you. I hope you all realize they are moving along nicely. Our next milestone is only in 3 days on Tuesday when we reach the 300 Day Marker to November. That will be a big one as we try to make the turn into having a "2s" count in 2 of our 3 counts. Now that hopefully doesn't confuse you but more excites you. It's the first weekend of the year folks. And I know you're all trying to enjoy it. It's not quite as amazing as Thanksgiving and November right now but we have to enjoy the ride and that makes it even better when we reach our destinations. Enjoy each day as much as you can. We don't get them back. Have a great January Weekend!

Glad to hear you mention "The Ride" back. There are times throughout the year that I really do believe that "The Ride" can be just as fun as the actual destination!

I think that 2020 definitely illustrated that The Ride is what we make it and I am determined to remember to put the time in to make new experiences/activities, even little ones, but I am looking forward to traditional big family gatherings again!

It's true though. Especially after Christmas I'm torn at first between "I wish it could come again" and then immediately I start feeling this feeling of "I'm glad I have SO MUCH time to get ready for the next one." The ride is part of the fun.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 326
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 302
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 241

Happy January Sunday! Yeah it's Sunday folks. It's time to take in the last day of that "2 week" different feeling that is known as Christmas/New Years week. Got to enjoy it because things will really go back to normal tomorrow for most people. Now speaking of normal I normally have 3 counts for you so I do not want to disappoint you today: 326 days till Thanksgiving, 302 days till November, and 241 days till The Bers. That's the 3 counts this morning. Our next milestone will happen on Tuesday (in 2 days) when we reach the 300 Day Marker to November. By the way, tomorrow is Monday and you all know we'll have the special weekly count to Thanksgiving Week which is about as good of a week as there is on the entire calendar. It brought us right into the whole holiday season. Have a great January Sunday!

Yep, not counting if I take any personal days, the next time my work will be closed for a holiday will be 4 months from now, for Memorial Day. And how great that will be because that is when we start those final 90(ish) days back to THE BERS!

The ride is definitely part of the fun. Plus, there is no tired....none...like Christmas tired. Christmas is so much for, but there is a stretch from the 22-25 that is a lot of work and can be very emotionally draining. When Christmas is over, it takes me a few days of laziness to recuperate.

The 300's are so ugly to me. When we are 299-200....it still is a pretty much a lull....but when we hit 199's and go down...we are on the march back to Christmas and the season. There is so much that being to happen from 199 on....and I love it.
