This "six months to the Bers" and our count headed towards 250 days until Thanksgiving just has me in a whole new attitude this morning. When I woke up today it was just another Monday, nothing special. When I realized it was six months to the Bers, my entire perspective shifted and what a great mood in in now!

I know that I shouldn't be wishing my life away with these counts. I know that. Our days are numbered and we only get so many. But thinking about what's coming after summer is over just brings so much excitement. There's no other time of year like The Bers, and it's when I really do feel my best.

And just thinking about November and the possibility of a "normal" parade and dinner and activities this year...well...those are some comforting thoughts that are gonna get me through this Monday at work. :)

Just six more months! Let's enjoy the ride!!!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 268
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 244
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 183

Happy Marching Along! It's a brutally cold morning and makes you realize heck it is still officially winter! Well that is fitting because that focuses on one of our next dual milestones. But first let's get to the official countdowns: 268 days till Thanksgiving, 244 days till November, and 183 days till The Bers. Our next milestone(s) are on March 20th (a Saturday) when we reach the 250 Day Marker to Thanksgiving & Springs arrival (the 2nd of 3 seasons back on the road towards Autumn). Spring will be coming just in time after a long cold and snowy winter here. And it will be fun to celebrate that weekend with 2 milestones on the same day. Will be cool to see the Thanksgiving Countdown as close to 200 as it is to 300 by then. Will be pretty awesome. Ok turkey lover unite today and keep warm and keep positive. Have a great Marching Along!

Can you imagine the energy (or lack thereof) on that bus on Thanksgiving morning? I'd like to say that I'd be amped, but I'm not a high schooler anymore so I'd probably just grumble incoherently until someone brought me coffee.
And lights out is 8:45 PM the night before. Yeah, right!

There is no way anyone is sleeping at 8:45 p.m., especially knowing that you're going to perform in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade the next day. If it were me I'd have to down several melatonin.
Ah...so then you'd be the bus DRIVER. :)
Yes...and I'd be most bitter.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 267
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 243
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 182

Happy Early March! Another cold morning out there but with promise it will warm with some sunshine. And speaking of promise I have to promise you that I'll give you 3 countdowns every day in this thread: 267 days till Thanksgiving, 243 days till November, and 182 days till The Bers. Our next milestone? Get ready for it folks. It's a double feature milestone as on March 20th (Saturday) we'll reach the 250 Day Marker to Thanksgiving on the 1st Day of Spring (the 2nd season of 3 on our road back to Autumn). Pretty cool to have 2 milestones in one day. That doesn't happen very often. It is cold out there but if you're a turkey you're fine with this weather. You just enjoy strutting along the street happy. That's what we all need to do here in the latter part of winter. Enjoy it. Have a great Early March!

I know how you feel. The way I am absorbed up in the 24/7 Christmas countdown, I realize that I am in effect, wishing my life away. So the decision was made to enjoy EVERY day the best I could, while having countdown thoughts kind of in the background. It's working for me!
