I am in a Bers/Autumn/Thanksgiving state of mind this week. 
Seeing those Fall decorations at Hobby Lobby just awoke something in me...something akin to the Feels...where I want to ride this high for as long as possible. Will this be the month that I find my first pumpkin spice item in store? It's a longshot, but not out of the realm of possibility. I'll definitely be searching all month long. I can't help but think I will find something.

DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 149
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 88
Happy June Weekend! We made it to a big weekend folks. It's really what most of us consider summer time and the weekends definitely are special in summer. Our counts above are special as well and we look at them this morning: 173 days till Thanksgiving, 149 days till November, and 88 days till The Bers. Our next milestone is the OFFICIAL start to summer which happens 2 weeks from tomorrow. You can't blame us summer lovers for starting summer off early like most of us do with the Memorial Day Weekend. We can't help it. We end it earlier too though as many consider Labor Day Weekend the end of summer even though it's not officially. But it will be fun our next milestone to reach the 3rd and final season before the one we all love the most which is Autumn. That will be a definitely fun marker to reach. It's amazing where we are and I'm telling you all take in this summer. There is no rush going back to The Bers. We'll all get there in time. Trust me. Have a great June Weekend!

Here ya go, everyone: The first trickle of Thanksgiving 2021 news. Walmart has announced that they will once again be closed this year on Thanksgiving Day:

Personally, I'm glad. I know that a lot of stores closed on Thanksgiving Day last year due to the pandemic, and I hope more of them continue to do so. In my opinion the Black Friday shopping craze was getting out of hand, and retail employees deserve to spend the day with their loved ones.

I agree. I saw a big change when Black Friday shifted to starting the night before and I would like to see Thanksgiving Day be a true holiday for as many workers as possible.

Happy June Sunday! Our first week of June is going to conclude soon. But folks do not worry as we have plenty of time to go to get back to The Bers, November, and Thanksgiving. These 3 counts show us that: 172 days till Thanksgiving, 148 days till November, and 87 days till The Bers. Our next milestone happens in 2 weeks time when we reach the start officially of our 3rd and final season back to Autumn and that would be summer. But boy does it feel like summer here now already. It was 90 on Saturday and should reach that (or exceed it) today on Sunday. I think one key thing we have to remember is that even though we have all 3 counts we follow above the ultimate is obviously Thanksgiving Day. That is a good thing because even when we do eventually reach The Bers we still have nearly 3 full months to get back to that ultimate goal of Thanksgiving. Just making sure everyone realizes in a good way we have a ton of time on our side still and need to enjoy every moment that we can. Alright turkey fans stay cool. Have a great June Sunday!

Around here Black Friday hasn't really been a thing in many years. This was mostly due to the fact that most retailers were running a normal schedule on Thanksgiving day. It just felt weird. My family and I always had a pledge to never shop at any stores that operated on Thanksgiving. The employees deserve that day off, and I'm glad to see now most of your major stores jumping on the bandwagon about being closed on Thanksgiving.

The Days till the Bers count is the most jarring. I still remember being so excited to hit 100 days, and now here we are just about one week away from seeing that count be in the 70's. I'm with you, The Bers are coming fast enough so you are right, let's enjoy this summer while we can
As eager as I am to get back to the Bers, I understand wanting to slow the pace a bit. I'm content with pumping the brakes a little at this point since we now have most of our Hobby Lobbies on board with Fall/Christmas decor, and I'm on my own personal quest to see how early I can find something Pumpkin Spice related. I still think it'll be this month, but we'll see. Cracker Barrel still has all of their summer displays up, but it's just a matter of time.
Also, summer isn't over until we have at least one close call with a hurricane, and that has yet to happen.
