Something about seeing the "Days to November" count under 30 days this morning just set off warning sirens in my head. 29 days?! Didn't we just get to October? Everything is going too fast! Slow down!

Still just over 50 days until Thanksgiving itself though, so that's nice...

7 weeks! So exciting! I have openly acknowledged that the weekly countdown to the best week of the year has been a huge boost to my Mondays, and I think today is the best Monday yet. October, check! Beautiful weather, check! Less than 2 months to go, check! Great threads at MMC, check!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 51
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 28

Happy Chilly October! Today folks we have 51 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 28 days to go until November. Our next milestone will be TOMORROW folks and it will come with a special poll. What milestone will it be? Well it will be our FINAL “Final Fifty” and it will be till Thanksgiving. Folks when we reach that marker every year it truly hits me. It becomes serious. Like when we hit the “Final Fifty” Till The Bers I seriously started thinking about it. And to think we’re one day away from being that close to Thanksgiving is amazing, insane, exciting but scary all at the same time. But no matter what 50 days is a whole truckload of days. Let’s worry about it tomorrow. For today it’s still the Awesome Autumn with tons of days of that to go (actually it will lead us right up to the day before Thanksgiving and through it). We will try to have a good poll tomorrow. I’m not sure if everyone is enjoying the weekly poll. Maybe we’ll expand it to twice a week. Maybe not. Might be hard to come up with that many polls without repeating. I think once a week makes it special. I think on Thursdays we should start something new too. I’m thinking maybe a simple “moment” or whatever you want to talk about when it comes to Thanksgiving Day. Let me try to give an example this week and see if it’s something we want to do. For now let’s focus on today. That’s been the theme this whole thread right? And we’re here now in October trying to enjoy each moment of each day in The Bers. Have a great Chilly October!

Edge I like the suggestion about maybe doing a weekly "moment". That's something that I tried this year in our Halloween thread, on Monday just trying to talk about one thing or ask one question regarding Halloween / Fall. I think you have a great idea!

And I'm sure excited for the Final Fifty, but I have to say that I DONT THINK IM READY for this yet!

Have a great Tuesday!

Almost 50 days left...wow. I'm not ready either, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thinking parade thoughts. I really hope it's a good one this year. The news outlets are starting to publish their "How to Watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade" articles, which are useless because it's the same every single year, but that tells me we're at least getting close.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 50
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 27

Happy October Mid-Week! Today folks is a BIG milestone as we welcome in the “Final Fifty” Till Thanksgiving. The last few years today has become a special day to me. I think this is the milestone every year where I seriously start thinking about Thanksgiving. Our next milestone folks will be the Home Stretch Till November in 17 days. I know. That’s ridiculous to think about. We better enjoy October. We move along here in our Awesome Autumn and do so with a special poll below!

What back-to-back days would you consider as the “Dynamic Duo” of Thanksgiving Week?

  • Thanksgiving Eve/Thanksgiving Day
  • Thanksgiving Day/Black Friday
  • There is no Dynamic Duo (Thanksgiving is the only day that matters that week).
  • The whole week (all 7 days) can’t be separated from each other to create any Dynamic Duo.
  • Folks I’m going with A on this but honestly it’s not easy. I could go with B or D. But you know Thanksgiving Eve to me is the most underrated day of the entire year. That day has become almost the most exciting day of the year to me. So I’m picking A. What about you? Have a great October Mid-Week!
