DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 141
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 119
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 58

Happy Post 4th! Today folks we have 141 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 119 days left until November, and 58 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone is in 1 week + 1 day folks and it’s one of the most highly anticipated milestones there is. It will be the 50-Day Marker till The Bers when our 50-Day Preview of The Bers begins in the Holiday Hangout. We are in the first half of our Summer Sweatfest but boy we’re making up for it lately after a slow start. And today we move along and look at our Weekly Wednesday Poll!

What’s the slowest time of year?

  • The heart of summer (July 5 – August 31)
  • The Bers (I wish)
  • Spring
  • January
  • Well for this one I have to say I wish it was B obviously. But I can’t say it is. And I can’t say C. Normally I’d say D. But the last couple of years I actually think it’s more A now. A is my answer. I feel like with the humidity and heat day after day even in an average summer it really does slow things down. That’s how I’ve felt lately and maybe our Preview of The Bers we do to help everyone through the heart of summer. What about you? Turkey fans let me know your answer on the poll. Have a great Post 4th!

Conflicted on this one, My vote would be either "D" or "A". Januarys are normally guaranteed to be a slog. So far for me, honestly the Summer has been moving by at a good pace, I know it only arrived a few weeks ago, but we are already past July 4th now and August awaits us next in just a few weeks, so I say my vote goes with "D" for today.

Have a great day!

My vote is for D also. January (and February) feels like I’m pushing an anvil up a hill. They take forever. Summer is much more enjoyable and moves along at a good pace.

I'm going to veer from the crowd with this one and go with C. Summer has been flying by for me personally this year, and January is pretty slow overall, but there's enough residual Christmas season and the NFL Playoffs that it isn't a complete slog. Traditionally, March is by far the slowest month for me, as it's far enough removed from Christmas but also still too far away from the Road to the Bers or anything fun like that. Spring also doesn't do much for me; we have a week or two of pleasant weather and then it just gets hot, so it's more like a pre-Summer.

I don't know the answer to this one and I feel as though I should. I have thought on it and I think it depends on many factors: Work, the weather, all sorts of things can bring time to a crawl. @The_Escalation mention March being the slowest month for him, for me it can be May that drags on and sometimes there is a lull between Halloween and Mid-November that feels like it lasts at least 6 weeks.

A total mixture!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 140
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 118
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 57

Happy Hot July! Today folks we have 140 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 118 days left until November, and 57 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the 50-Day Marker till The Bers. It will be in 1 week folks. 1 week until the annual 50-Day Preview of The Bers. The Summer Sweatfest continues today though with our weekly Thanksgiving Thought Thursday!

Thursdays are big in this thread for obvious reasons. We have Thanksgiving every year on Thursday. But next year 2 major holidays that I love very much join Thanksgiving on Thursdays: 4th of July and Halloween. It’s also interesting to note (not many of us think about this) that 4th of July and Halloween fall on the same day of the week together every year. Kind of a little cool fact. But yeah a lot of big Thursdays next year for holidays.

I’m sure someone will point out another holiday on Thursday next year maybe that I haven’t even thought about. I like Thursday for a holiday more than a Tuesday for sure especially if you can take off the Friday. Turkey fans enjoy your THURSDAY now. Keep it real my turkey friends and unite. Have a great Hot July!

Happy Thursday! I think next year I am going to try and turn those major holidays that fall on a Thursday into a 4 day weekend. I'll have plenty of time built up by then. I could take off Friday and do my very own version of the "Halloweekend", and the office is already closed for three days over Thanksgiving, so I'll have lots of opportunities to be off work on days that I never had off before!

I'm so glad it's Thursday. Every Thursday feels like a milestone day. We can finally start thinking about the weekend! Have a great day!

My Thursday Thanksgiving thought this week is simple: I just want to know when Popeye's will confirm that their cajun turkey is for sale again this year. Probably not until October, I know, but I can daydream.

Now I wanna go back to Cracker Barrel on a Thursday for their "mini-Thanksgiving" turkey and dressing meal...

I had the same thought when I read about Halloween being on a Thursday!!! I know I will take the four days in July for my annual Staycation and I have been taking the Columbus Day Weekend as a four day weekend since Covid, but maybe I could switch that to Halloween.
