Happy June TGIF! Today folks we have 174 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 152 days to go until November, and 91 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be on the 2nd half of our weekend on Sunday with the 150-Day Marker till November. If you aren’t a fan of sweating you’re probably enjoying some a/c if it’s hot there. But it’s just the beginning of our Summer Sweatfest so make sure you have those a/c’s working. And it’s also just the beginning of our 3-day weekend here in this thread. It’s a great time to get a break from all of our big topics Monday through Thursday here in this thread. Turkey fans I hope your week has gone good and that today goes only better for you. It’s Friday so let’s enjoy it. A summer Friday? Kind of. It’s June. The kids here though still have a few more weeks of school to go. Then their summer begins. For now all of us turkey fans are enjoying our own form and version of summer. Like I said, hopefully it includes your a/c working and fully functional for when the real heat and humidity inevitably hits. Now let’s think thoughts of Thanksgiving and turkey all summer long. I think it’ll make it a very fun summer indeed. Cooler thoughts and tasty turkey thoughts. Have a great June TGIF!

You know, the 3 day weekend in this thread has sort of transferred over to real life for me. Every week as I go through the new work week, I always find myself looking forward to Thursday, because I feel like Friday nothing gets me down, I am excited for the weekend, and it's just in general fun doing anything when its on a Friday.
We're still a couple of weeks out from the Summer Solstice though, and I feel like that is when the REAL work / summer slog begins. But we've got this! It will be Turkey Time when it's time!

I love to think about Thanksgiving. I'm always trying new recipes to see if it will make my rotation for Thanksgiving or Christmas.
For me the "Summer Slog" is around July 5th - August 20th. Roughly that is when things really slow down.

Happy June Weekend! Today folks we have 173 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 151 days to go until November, and 90 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone folks will be TOMORROW on Sunday with the 150-Marker Till November. It will be a big marker for sure folks. Today is another day in our Summer Sweatfest. It was real sweaty yesterday (90 degrees) but now has cooled off to more reasonable temperatures. I hope all of you have had a great weekend and now are enjoying the middle day of our 3-day quiet period. I like that in this thread. I think it’s caught on too. But the funny thing is and I always say this but a 4-day work week makes me realize 1 thing and that is how long a 5-day work week is because 4 seemed long enough to me. Now we are relaxing this weekend but also pretty busy here at least today. Mostly running around but the prospects of a quiet and relaxing Sunday maybe laying in some a/c if it’s warm in the house while reading a book sounds relaxing to me. Sometimes I wish I could nap more but I am not the best at falling asleep during the daytime. But turkey fans no matter what your plans are I hope you’re ready to enjoy your weekend as much as you possibly can. Have a great June Weekend!

Our next milestone folks will be TOMORROW on Sunday with the 150-Marker Till November. It will be a big marker for sure folks. Today is another day in our Summer Sweatfest. The slog started last week..heat so soon is ridiculous. Had to take my Dodge back to the dealership today so they could checkout the new motor they had to install. Bunch of bolts had loosened up and the ac was iffy. I can now freeze sides of beef in the back seat.
Hopefully it cooled off!

We have reached the 150-Day Marker till November. Amazing and incredible. Our next milestone(s) will be back to back as we reach the official start of Summer on June 21st followed by Tom Turkey Day #7 on June 22nd. Talk about big. Back to back folks. The good thing is we don’t have any milestones the next 2 weeks in this thread. Kind of gives us all a chance to catch our breaths huh? We move along in the Summer Sweatfest here still in the early stages of June. Lots of time ahead here. And I think until the kids are out of school which is in a few weeks it still feels like we’re stepping slowly into summer before we reach it full-fledged. Right now I’m ok with where we are and don’t want to rush into the depths of summer’s top heat and humidity. Hopefully it will stay away for a while and when it visits it keeps its stay short like winter’s cold and snow did this past winter. Very brief. Happy Milestone day! It was in the 80's yesterday, but today is 57 degrees right now and only getting to a high of 73. The overcast grey skies outside really make me think of Thanksgiving. I'm working on planting pumpkins too, so I have lots of Feels today! Have a great day!
Yesterday at our local Hobby Lobby, they had finally put up a 1/2 aisle of Thanksgiving items! It was exciting to see all of the turkey and football and pilgrim themed stuff. Makes daydreaming about the big day easier when you're surrounded by "Gobble 'til you Wobble" kitchen towels.
