Well I think 2 or 3 mini Thanksgivings would be the right amount...I'm good with 2 because I honestly also don't want to overdo it. I don't think 3 would...but that would be the max. This way it keeps a little extra special while giving us more than 1 opportunity to enjoy it!A Thanksgiving every four months sounds more reasonable and attainable, especially with the cost of food right now. I would have loved a quarterly celebration, but I wouldn't have been able to participate this time around. For March I may actually be able to pull something together.
In the meanwhile, we do have our Tom Turkey Days to fill in the gaps, even if it's just with a turkey sandwich.
Snow? What's that?We are back expecting SNOW for the next couple of days. It is supposed to hit in the afternoon right when I need to take my daughter to her final appointment with her plastic surgeon. It is nice to see that she has been able to have what tried to kill her successfully replaced--I think I told you they harvested fat from other parts of her body so there is nothing in there artificial. She didn't definitely need it, but it was like a free tummy tuck. Today, I am thankful for modern medicine.
Prayers for your daughter and stay safe driving! We are back expecting SNOW for the next couple of days. Stuffed shrimp is on our menu tonight too....eggnog sounds so good! Its a sunny Tuesday. Took eggnog out this morning to unthaw and buffalo burgers for tonite. I prep'd a bunch of stuffed shrimp last night...hope I get more than 1 out of this batch..lol
NOW I am HUNGRY!!!Man, you know what sounds great? A breakfast Thanksgiving. Maybe instead of turkey I could do some turkey sausage, along with biscuits, gravy, some kind of egg casserole dish, pumpkin pancakes for dessert...my, oh my. I'm taking this idea and running with it. But then is it really a "breakfast Thanksgiving" or just a big breakfast at that point? I'll let y'all decide, but it sounds delicious either way!
