DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 218
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 196
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 135

Happy Mid-Spring Mid-Week! Today folks we have 218 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 196 days to go until November, and 135 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be not for over another week. In 8 days we’ll reach Tom Turkey Day #5. We move along through our Super Spring and approaching halfway of it by looking at today’s poll!

If there was one thing you could bring with you from the other seasons to Thanksgiving what would it be?

  • The warmer weather
  • Baseball season
  • The beach
  • Fireworks
  • Well folks I’m going to go with B. The reason? I don’t want it “too warm” on Thanksgiving. The beach? Just wouldn’t seem right on Thanksgiving. I don’t want to go there. And fireworks? Intriguing to have on Thanksgiving but would I really want to see them? I’d probably rather stay home. It’s Thanksgiving! What about you? Keep it real turkey fans and enjoy the middle of your week ok? Thanks for coming today and we’ll see you all tomorrow. Gobble Gobble. Have a great Mid-Spring Mid-Week!

For me Thanksgiving is a warmup to Christmas. We have all of the beautiful autumn colors leading up to it and then it's all about family. It really sets the tone for Christmas to come right after. Thanksgiving to me is a Holiday where I don't want to go anywhere, I want to stay at home, cook a big meal for my family (deep fried turkey is a family fav although nothing beats a good smoked turkey). Last year we didn't get a chance to do any of that because we were sick as a family eith Flu A, Flu B and RSV...... not fun! Here's hoping this year is better!

I had to edit because I left off the most important part, going with B. Baseball season is one of my favorite things about warm weather.

I must say "None of the above" to the poll question.
For Thanksgiving, I want:
  • Nice cool weather. Maybe even a little snow.
  • Football, not baseball.
  • To be home, not at the beach.
  • The parade. Fireworks are for the Fourth of July.

I would agree football over baseball but the way I look at it is just extend baseball through Thanksgiving and we get both. Football and baseball in the same day? Sign me up!

This is my answer as well. I might be taking this poll too seriously, but none of those things would add anything to Thanksgiving for me. And down here we already sometimes have warm Thanksgivings. It's just strange being able to wear shorts on Thanksgiving Day.

I can't count the number of times I've worn shorts and a T-shirt to hang Christmas lights outside on Thanksgiving Day.

I am thinking it would be cool to have fireworks for Thanksgiving. With all the shapes they can make for fireworks now, they could have a giant turkey and a giant cornucopia. And then they could end with a a Santa on a sleigh like they do in the Macy's parade. It could work!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 217
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 195
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 134

Happy Almighty April! Today folks we have 217 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 195 days to go until November, and 134 days left until The Bers. Our next milestone will be 1 week from today folks. It will be Tom Turkey Day #5! And it will be major. But folks we are here in our Super Spring. And guess what? Today is day 35 of our Super Spring. 5 full weeks into it. We move ahead here folks with our favorite thing of the week which is Thanksgiving Thought Thursday!

When I think about Thanksgiving not many days of the year give me this feeling inside. It’s a feeling of warmth. Know that feeling? There’s only a few days that I can think of that give me that. Not New Year’s, Superbowl Sunday, Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day or even Halloween. But Thanksgiving does give me that feeling inside.

It’s one of those rare feelings you get about very few days of the year. You learn to appreciate all different times of the year and different days. And then you wind up getting this feeling of awesomeness that you just take in and enjoy. Now turkey fans you enjoy your Thursday ok? Have a great Almighty April!

Yes yes! Totally different vibe from Halloween or Christmas! Thanksgiving day, I dare say even the night before, there is just a warm, peaceful, comfortable feeling that you don't get from anything else. I totally relate to this. Have a great day!
