Happy Next To Last Day Of August! Today folks we have 85 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 63 days left until November, and 2 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestone will be the day after tomorrow when we reach the amazing destination of The Bers. As we round out our Summer Sweatfest the next 48 hours let’s do our Weekly Wednesday Poll on The Bers of course!

When you think of The Bers what’s the first thing that comes to mind?
A.) Halloween
B.) Thanksgiving
C.) Christmas
D.) Autumn
I’m going with D because really the entire Autumn season (which is the longest of any of the above seasons) is 100% in The Bers. And it really is the reason I love The Bers. Autumn is the best. D for me too ... Autumn is apples, pumpkins, mums, beautiful fall color of leaves, cool crisp air, the crunching of the fallen leaves, Halloween, Thanksgiving and of course the Christmas Season

I get some looks about this sometimes but I always say my love for Sep/Oct has been more steady from childhood through current day than Nov/Dec. I know. I know. I'm just being honest. I was obsessed with the freshness of September, new starts, new school year, new football season and my love for Halloween has been like a 10/10 my whole life...so that combination being so consistent is why I say that.

As a kid I loathed September. I hated that summer was ending. Summers were the best back then. But, by the time we got to the middle of October, everything was right in the world again and I was so excited for Halloween. It's funny how things change as we age.

Happy August Finale! Today folks we have 84 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 62 days remaining until November, and 1 day to go until The Bers. Our next milestone is tomorrow. If you don’t know what tomorrow is folks what else can I say to you? It’s the end of our first destination as we begin THE BERS. Know what else we begin? Our Awesome Autumn. Amazing. But we move along in the final day of our Summer Sweatfest here (although by looking at the weather through next week it looks like we’ll be sweating more as the temps/humidity both go up to summer time type weather). And we do so with our Thanksgiving Thought Thursday!

If there is one thing on Thanksgiving Day that I love it’s the way it is the biggest day of the year. Seriously, it is. Name a bigger day of the year. You say Christmas? I say that’s the end of the holiday road folks. Christmas Eve? Just a day earlier than the end. Thanksgiving starts the holiday season. And just on its own might be the best day overall of the year. Put those 2 things together and no other day of the entire year can boast all of that perfect goodness.

Turkey fans tomorrow we’ll be here for The Bers. I can’t believe it. But be here. The road is here folks. The Bers. Have a great August Finale!​

Only thing I can think about right now is how we are back home tomorrow! It's been such a long journey and now here we are nearly at the end! We're 17 hours away from being "Home" ! Have a wonderful day!

My Thanksgiving thought is how wonderful those first hours in the morning are when the turkey is in the oven and there is a pause in the preparations and your can just enjoy the day.
