I think like 4-5 years ago Thanksgiving high temp was in the 20s and windy. I love cool weather on Thanksgiving but that felt just like mid-January!

Happy Flag Day! Today folks we move along and have 167 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 140 days left until November, and 79 days to go until The Bers. Our next milestones will both be next week which will be the Arrival of Summer on Wednesday followed by Tom Turkey Day #7 on Thursday. But today is Friday and as we move along in our Summer Sweatfest with the heat starting to pick up, we look below at our Fun Fact Friday!

Maybe because I don’t travel, I think it sounds a little high but then I realize that the most traveled holiday is Thanksgiving I believe. Also, when I picture traveling for Thanksgiving I think of the airport and flying but it sounds like a lot of people drive. If you go to grandma’s house 10 minutes away does that count in this statistic? I’m not sure but I think it does. But I guess I am only guessing as it’s kind of a vague statistic. Most of the Thanksgiving have had average temperatures around here (40s to 50s). there may be a year here or there where it was colder or warmer. I do remember that really warm Christmas (2015), we even had a couple claps of Thunder and had our windows opened.

Happy Mid-June! Today folks we move along and have 166 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 139 days to go until November, and 78 days left until The Bers. Our next milestones will be back-to-back next week on Wednesday (Arrival of Summer) and Thursday (Tom Turkey Day #7). We move along in our Summer Sweatfest in our Quiet Weekend Period now. Part 1 begins today on Saturday as always. Lots of topics all week so now it’s time to let this thread chill out a bit. And just come here for fun, reading the count and chatting with your turkey friends. And we all love turkey for sure. Boy that heat is going to be coming here big-time next week. Let me enjoy the nice weather this weekend. But then I’ll make sure my a/c is on extra high next week. I just hope everyone can stay cool as much as possible. Our next milestones will both happen this coming week folks. They will be the Arrival of Summer on Wednesday followed by Tom Turkey Day #7 on Thursday. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest Quiet Weekend Part 2 and we have nice warm sunny weather here. It’s funny yesterday I felt it was getting really warm (low 80s) and then I’m realizing based on the upcoming forecast this is the cool stuff. Get those a/c’s ready. And let’s hope that everyone can stay cool. Our weather guys are saying we’re in for a hot summer so we’ll see. Last summer wasn’t so hot but it was very humid and rainy. This year might be different. Well, to all the dads that are out there I wish you a Happy Father’s Day. I think you all do a great job. And definitely not an easy job. And to my little 6 month old Boston Terrier I’m trying to be the best dad I can to you. Now turkey friends enjoy your Sunday. It’s a quiet weekend here. And I’m loving it. Happy Fathers Day everyone! Everyone hanging out at the pool and I am prepping boneless chicken thighs for later. I was going to do a boneless turkey roll but anything close to a fresh turkey cant be found. Well...here comes the heat and the ledge.
