Happy Next To Last Day Of September! Today folks we move along and see that we have 59 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 33 days to go until November. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone arriving on Wednesday with the Arrival of October. It’s Monday folks so time for our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. It now stands at 8 weeks. Amazing the big 8, right? Turkey friends I hope your weekend went well and that you are gearing up to start a new week here in this thread. I wish you all the best as you embark on a fresh start like every Monday gives us (and every day gives us). It’s going to be warm the next couple of days before cooling off right in time for October to start up. All the Autumn Activities have started and have been awesome so far. I’ll give you a better breakdown on Thursday in the Hang Out about Ghost Stories which I attended for the first time on Sunday. Turkey friends I hope you enjoy your day today and make the most of it. Mondays aren’t bad. They are a new start. And I hope your week gets off to as good of a start as you can hope for. Gobble Gobble! Just echoing Rich's thoughts earlier that we are now on the path for the very FINAL Tom Turkey Day of 2025. I'm on my last JOL Day TOMORROW. The best times of the year are imminent!
 
I am excited about Thanksgiving this year. My family is have a practice Thanksgiving meal next week and enjoying all the fixing. We have a practice meal 3-4 times a year and enjoy the process. I hope everyone has a good JOL day tomorrow.
 
I got a call from my niece today and she and her husband will be back this year to celebrate Thanksgiving with me. Their place in Madeira Beach is still not ready, so they will spend November, or at least part of it, in their Daytona condo.

I'm very excited and happy to hear this. I hope and pray my health holds out. I have one more appointment at Mayo next month and, hopefully, I won't return until next year.

The requests have already come in. Another turducken will definitely be on the table. Patrick also requested a cherry pie and I've had a request for my chocolate raspberry cheesecake. Fortunately the pie is easy and the cheesecake can be made ahead.

This news has me re-thinking the menu.

DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 32

Happy September Finale! Today folks we move along and see that we have 58 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 32 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone set to arrive tomorrow with the Arrival of October. My favorite month of the year is coming. I can’t believe it. It’s Tuesday folks so time for Picture Day. I hope all of you are ready to post all your pictures of fall and Thanksgiving that you can muster up. It’s such a great season and great time of year we are in. And as we move into October it truly will feel more like autumn as the weather cools down here for several days. It’s been so mild and warm really the 2nd half of September it’s felt more like summer than autumn. Ironically, the 1st half of September was cooler than average but because the normal that time of year is higher than now by several degrees it balanced out where it still felt moderately warm enough to feel like late summer. Turkey friends I hope all of you are enjoying your final day of the month. September is truly the Sweet Spot and the most overlooked month outside of this website. I hope you all get the most out of your day and enjoy your time doing whatever you love doing on a Tuesday. Have a great September Finale!​
 
I can't believe the last day of September is here! The last few days really moved by fast. It's bittersweet to write that, as everyone knows how much I love October, but all we can do is just do what I think we are all doing - enjoying each day and getting the most out of it that we can.
