Thanksgiving 2025 Thread

My Thanksgiving is getting more complicated in a good way. Since my niece and her husband will be here I'm planning three main meals culminating in Thanksgiving. I have a spreadsheet broken down into the food for each meal and the ingredients I will need to get. I already have the meats and fish either in my freezer or set to deliver the Monday before Thanksgiving. Each meal will be plenty big for leftovers the next day.
There will be desserts available for the whole month of November. I hope I don't eat too much as I eat only fruit for dessert except for special occasions, but I do love desserts.
I've been organizing and cleaning my kitchen cabinets. Fortunately, I have a big kitchen with lots of storage. I made a trip to the church thrift shop this morning with things I no longer use and need. That gave me extra storage which will be filled up with things I only use during the holidays. Good excuse to deep clean my kitchen.

It’s Monday folks so we begin a brand-new week with our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. It stands at 7 weeks now. That’s crazy. Lucky #7. I hope it is lucky for us and that you all enjoy your Monday. Make the most of the start of a new week. I hope this week is a good one. Nothing beats a good old-fashioned October Week. I think I can answer "A"! Seeing only 50 days to Thanksgiving is jarring, but then you have to remember we have been in the Bers almost 6 weeks. It doesn't seem like that long. So much of the beginning part of November is wrapped up with Halloween afterglow and preparing to transition over to Christmas Season.
And all of us on this site knows what happens to a count when it gets to 50 days. Time is moving like it has been greased now!

"C" for me. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Last year it was so special and, when my niece and her husband get here, it will be special again.
I'm having fun with menus and even the cleaning, as slow as it's going, excites me. I got a titanium frying pan from Our House delivered today. I blew a huge hole in the holiday budget with the things in my freezer, but it is so worth it.
I have one Mayo Clinic to get to this month, then the coast will be clear, I hope, for the holidays.
On October 24, Santa's Elves Use Amazon will start putting up trees to sponsor children. Please say a prayer that every child gets sponsored. We did it last year, but many people are tightening their purse strings with the economic turmoil. I just want kids to experience the magic of Christmas.
