D. Thanksgiving Eve Night.
That's when I watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. I'm also excited to go to bed so I can wake up and it will be Thanksgiving morning.

I'm with you on saying the morning. The whole day is great, but parade, the official arrival of Christmas music, the smells of dinner cooking.... Perfect!

Rich, I have to give America's Thanksgiving Parade out of my hometown a little love!

I'll go with Eve, too. I have to work this morning, and the afternoon will be busy, but Elizabeth with be home with us this evening!

I hope y'all have a great Thanksgiving!

It looks like our Thanksgiving plans are canceled this year. My wife has been sick with the flu since Friday and just starting to get better. It's too risky to be around other family members, especially my mom who has cancer. So, it looks like a nice quiet day at home watching football. Not going to lie, after my 16-hour shift tonight (2p-6a), I'm kind of looking forward to a relaxing day at home. I think my sister will drop off some food since she is having dinner at her house.

I'm sorry to hear this. I hope she continues to feel better.

I do the same thing. Plus, I'm exhausted from making pies and side dishes. It's nice to settle in my bed and watch Charlie Brown and the gang. I usually watch a church service, too. Tomorrow, I'll be up long before the sun to start everything and welcome guests.

I hope your wife feels better and you get that food delivery.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 1

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! Today folks we move along and see that we have 1 day remaining until Thanksgiving. This is it my friends. We move along in our Awesome Autumn for the final time with our destination arriving in 24 hours. It will be Thanksgiving. It’s Wednesday folks so time for our Weekly Wednesday Poll below!

What’s your favorite thing about Thanksgiving Eve?

  • Thanksgiving Eve Morning
  • Thanksgiving Eve Afternoon
  • Thanksgiving Eve Evening
  • Thanksgiving Eve Night
  • I’m going to be alone on this one I’m sure but I’m going with A. Going to work on Thanksgiving Eve has become very special to me over the years. We have traditions with people I’ve been working with for a long time. And it feels like a hang out on Thanksgiving Eve at work. A very special day. Have a great Thanksgiving Eve!
C. Evening....

We make sure everything is set up....have a low key junk food supper....and hang out. This year was a little different. We went to my sister in law's house for lunch at 1:00 and was home by 5:00. I got everything prepped and ready for tomorrow. Now, the wait begins....

I lean towards "B"...usually all the stuff that can be made early is done. Once evening hits I realize that fall is over with and Thanksgiving will be in the rearview mirror in 24 hours. Its a vicious cycle.

It's a vicious cycle indeed but that vicious cycle is what keeps us coming back to all of our beloved holidays 24/7, 365 days a year. I feel this.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve to everyone! We finished dinner and Holly has began the baking for some of the things tomorrow.

Pumpkin Dream Cake is a handmade cake by her, it uses real pumpkin, and the icing is a combination of cream cheese and maple syrup.

The turkey is fully thawed and has been brining all day.

Folks, I just want to share with you all that I LOVE this point in the year, and I love that tomorrow is basically 24 hours of pure love and bliss.

We will all be a little "sad" to see Thanksgiving go, but we have this thread and the dreams and wishes for Thanksgiving 2026 to guide us back as we do every year. Let's enjoy it everyone!

I'm heading to bed soon. So you know what that means. When I wake up, it will be Thanksgiving morning!!! My heart is full of joy.
