We have had an active winter here so far. A little bit of a reprieve the end of January and the first part of February, but Winter has knuckled back down and we're on track to get 6 inches of snow today / tonight, and ice storm tomorrow night into Thursday morning, and then it looks like two days next week that have snow in the forecast.

Hoping it backs off by the time we get into March but things could change and March could be brutal. We have had snow storms in April before, and we did have one the year Abigale was born (2022). I'm hoping that is not the case because a lot of people, myself included, are done with winter and want to move on to Spring.

We had a quiet but cold January. We've had an active February!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 288
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 262
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 201

Happy Dozen Days Of February! Today folks we move along and see that we have 288 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 262 days left until November and 201 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone showing up tomorrow. You know what is right? It’s going to be the 200-Day Marker till The Bers. Below is today’s Weekly Wednesday Poll for your enjoyment in Valentine’s Day style!

What’s the one thing you love the most about November?

  • The weather
  • Weekend before Thanksgiving
  • Thanksgiving Week
  • Thanksgiving Weekend
  • Although B and D are both up there for me I still have to take Thanksgiving Week which includes Thanksgiving Eve and Thanksgiving Day (my favorites back to back). Turkey friends the best to you. Have a great Dozen Days Of February!

Thanksgiving week for sure. I love the anticipation, the day before Thanksgiving, the day of, and the day after. There is so much joy that week.

Oh my gosh, can I just select A,B,C, and D? I know that’s cheating, but isn’t November wonderful? We always call September “the sweet spot,” but November is a special kind of sweet spot.

If I can only pick one, then I’ll go with the crowd and choose C. Thanksgiving Week truly is the best.

C and D technically. My best would be Wednesday of Thanksgiving week through Thanksgiving weekend. It provides everything you need. From Thanksgiving Eve and the Thanksgiving holiday right through the beginning of Christmas season. That small stretch is one of the best of the whole year.

D! Starting off the weekend with Thanksgiving dinner, continuing with Wolverines vs. the Buckeyes, and ending with the Christmas tree farm on Sunday afternoon!

C for me, I love Thanksgiving Week. I look forward to it so much that sometimes I daydream about what any random day/time might look like during Thanksgiving week. On Thanksgiving Eve around 10:30 I would probably be in the kitchen doing some prep work or if it is a year I am not hosting, maybe putting out my Christmas Village!

What would you all be doing?

I'll just be relaxing, watching Christmas movies, and making sure the bird is completely thawed.
