- Easy one for me it’s B Superbowl Sunday. Never been into Valentine’s Day. President’s Day I’m just glad I took it off. Groundhog Day I’ve never been into that much either. But Superbowl Sunday is the most Bers “Non-Ber” day of the entire year. Really with football being such a big part of The Bers and the Superbowl being all about football (and with the party food of a Thanksgiving/Christmas Eve type of meal) it sure feels like it. Turkey friends let us know your answer to the poll and I hope you are doing well today. Have a great February Mid-Week!
On any normal year, it’d be B for me, since the Super Bowl is the last remnant of the football season before it disappears again until August. This year, I just can’t bring myself to care. It’s two teams that I’m ambivalent about, and we’ll probably skip the Super Bowl this year entirely. So this year I’m going to vote C because at least I get the day off.
I'll take "D" because I enjoy the movie so much. Super Bowl is good too because it's an excuse to eat quantities of food. Nachos and shrimp cocktail and pistachios are the tradition. I'm also going to throw in an Option E: the 28th. Because it's the last day and I just prefer not being in January and February. 
I took it off (and Tuesday)!
Since I have President's Day off from work I will definitely pick C, if Illinois still celebrated Lincoln's Birthday instead we would get the Monday after the Super Bowl off but other than the food, I really don't care about the Super Bowl!

Happy Fantastic February! Today folks we move along and see that we have 294 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 268 days left until November and 207 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone approaching in 1 week. It will be the 200-Day Marker till The Bers. We move along on this Thanksgiving Thought Thursday with the winter weather giving me this thought!
We’ve had a real winter this year. Lots of cold weather. Some windy days and several shots of snow (although none of them huge). And we will continue in that pattern for the next week or longer. One thing Thanksgiving makes me think of is how fall is really ending. The holiday season has arrived, and winter is right around the corner. I always say most of the time between St. Patrick’s Day and Thanksgiving Day the weather is decent (i.e. nothing extreme like 2 feet of snow or 0-degree temps). Those 2 dates are my personal markers!
Thanksgiving is a marker for a lot of things, isn’t it? It ends the fall season ends unofficially and the holiday season officially begins. Have a great Fantastic February!

My eye now is kind of on the last week of the month. I like how by the time we start heading into March (most of the time), the weather is turning pleasant and you can really feel that we are leaving winter behind.
But Winter this year might be making a last stand. We have half an inch of ice out there right now, and another winter storm is moving in on Monday, we are in the 3-5 inch range right now and those totals will probably "lock in" later tonight or in the morning as the storm path finalizes.
Can't wait to see that 200 day window to The Bers!

Hmm didn’t know that. But interesting for sure and always heard that song as a kid. I think we all take that campaign now to a new level in this thread by saying Thanksgiving is the best overall day of the year. Don’t you all agree? It’s right at the top of the list for sure. And we started this thread because everyone talks about Fall, Halloween Season and Christmas Season all year long but somehow leaves out Thanksgiving.
