40 weeks! We’ve come a long way already, and yet…still so far away.

I’m ready to start hitting some halfway points. I think March 2nd is technically the first one, being the calendar observation of halfway to the Bers.
I think the 300-Day seal to Christmas and the beginning of March is really when things turn (that's why we call March 1 the day of hope)!

The mall always makes me think of the holidays all year long.
Me too. OMG! I make Michelle stop at any mall we pass. The funny thing is, I haven't Christmas shopped in a mall for more than 40 years. But the memories of Christmas shopping with my mom and brother as a child are still near and dear to my heart and will last a lifetime.

I don't buy a lot in the mall either. I do buy a few things here and there during the holiday season but Coach has said this and it's true (like most of what Coach says) there is still something very special about being in the mall during the holiday season with Christmas music playing, Santa being around, and the extra people shopping!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 282
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 256
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 195

Happy Quiet Tuesday! Today folks we move along and see that we have 282 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 256 days left until November, and 195 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with our next milestone arriving in less than 1 week with the 250-Day Marker till November being in 6 days. It’s Tuesday folks so time for Picture Day! Woohoo. Post all your pictures of Autumn and Thanksgiving. Those days don’t seem so cold now huh? They seem lovely to be honest. It’s been a cold winter for many. The wind yesterday was horrible. We’ve had it all this winter but we haven’t gotten the big snowstorm some have. And I’m ok with that. But we still have time as spring is still over a month away. Lots of time to go. Turkey friends I hope you are enjoying your Winter and your February so far. And I hope everything is going well for you. Thanks for checking in today. The best to you on this Tuesday. Tuesdays are cool. And this thread is really cool thanks to everyone posting and contributing. Nobody else outside this thread is thinking about Thanksgiving right now but we are. And in a fun way not a rushing it way. Now turkey friends you go and enjoy your Tuesday. And post those pictures. Have a great Quiet Tuesday!

I agree — I’ve been to other malls during the holidays where I get hit with the Christmas Feels, and it’s instant childhood nostalgia. Unfortunately, our local mall here is just a shell of its former self. So many stores are closed, so around half of the mall is just empty space. It’s sad. :(

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 281
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 255
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 194

Happy Freezing February! Today folks we move along and see that we have 281 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 255 days left until November and 194 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Winter Wonderland with another cold day here. Our next milestone will be in 5 days when we reach the 250-Day Marker till November. I kind of liked November weather looking back at it. Used to think it was a little too chilly but now I’m like that is like a Sweatfest compared to the depths of winter. It’s Wednesday folks so let’s do our Weekly Wednesday Poll below!

What’s one change you had this past Thanksgiving?

  • A family member/friend who usually isn’t there was there.
  • We changed/added some food on the menu.
  • We watched something different than usual on television.
  • There were 0 changes to Thanksgiving for us.
  • I will say A. We had my brother from San Diego here and the last time he had previously been here was 5 or 6 years prior. So that is my answer although I’m sure we added or changed an item or 2 on the menu. What about you? Turkey friends enjoy it. Have a great day. Have a great Freezing February!
