DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 91
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 65
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 4

Happy Alright August! Today folks we move along and see that we have 91 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 65 days left until November and 4 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest on a Milestone Day as Tom Turkey Day #9 is here. Gobble Gobble. Our next milestone will be the biggest milestone we’ve had by far and maybe we will have by far. It will be on Monday when we arrive at The Bers. At that point we will only have 2 counts out of 3 remaining. It’s Thursday friends so let’s do our usual Thanksgiving Thought Thursday below!

When we talk about the Road to Thanksgiving I always feel like it starts on Labor Day. Not September 1. Not after Labor Day but on Labor Day itself. But I also talk about those 10 (this year 11) weeks between the week after Labor Day up until Thanksgiving Week. That is hardcore autumn to me. I love those weeks more than the holiday season possibly. I am so looking forward to “The Road” beginning again!

We are all in a special spot right now folks. You know it. I know it. There is no more denying it. I say just enjoy it. And get ready for the impending Bers Season. Have a great Alright August!
That's a great way to look at Edge! I like traveling these roads with you all.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 90
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 64
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 3

Happy Labor TGIF! Today folks we move along and see that we have 90 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 64 days left until November and 3 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest heading into a major holiday weekend with the biggest milestones on this site arriving on Monday. It will be the Arrival of The Bers. I think this site has evolved over the years to where we really countdown to The Bers more than just any one specific holiday (although we all love Halloween, Thanksgiving, and of course, Crown’s Legendary Christmas Countdowns). It’s Friday folks and time for our Fun Fact Friday below!

The given name of the turkey comes from the Middle Eastern country, from which they were imported to America. But archaeological evidence shows that these birds roamed across the Americas some 10 million years ago.

10 million years ago? Wow. That’s like a really, really, really, really, long time. I wonder what it would be like to live during the time of dinosaurs. I’ve always been fascinated by them. Turkey friends I hope you are enjoying your Friday. And you are ready for a long holiday weekend for many of us. Have a great Labor TGIF!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 89
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 63
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 2

Happy Next To Last Day Of August! Today folks we move along and see that we have 89 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 63 days left until November and 2 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest with our next milestone arriving on Monday. It will be the Arrival of The Bers. The true fun begins, and we’ll have 2 counts remaining after that. It’s Saturday folks so time for our Quiet Weekend Period Part 1 of 2. I hope all of you are enjoying your weekend so far and that you have a long weekend as many of us do. I have to say taking off consistent long weekends this summer really was fun. Some people like to take long vacations, but I feel like taking shorter breaks during the summer specifically is the best. And of course, I’ll take off time for the holiday season. But we’re not thinking about that. We’re not looking backwards or forwards. We’re looking at the current day and time. And we’re ready to enjoy our holiday weekend and to welcome in The Bers official arrival on Monday. Turkey friends I wish you well on this Saturday. I hope you have fun plans but also relaxing ones this weekend. We have a lot of fun but simple plans this weekend which makes the long holiday weekend feel even longer. Have a great Next To Last Day Of August!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 88
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 62
DAYS TILL THE BERS: 1

Happy August Finale! Today folks we move along and see that we have 88 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 62 days left until November and 1 day to go until The Bers. We move along in our Summer Sweatfest for the final time my friends. Our next milestone will be tomorrow when our Awesome Autumn begins as do The Bers. Turkey friends it’s hard to believe that tomorrow we will only have 2 of our 3 counts remaining but it is time for The Bers to begin. It’s Sunday folks so time for the 2nd half of our Quiet Weekend Period. I hope all of you will enjoy a Quiet Sunday. It should be quiet for the Sunday Group this week as we go to brunch and home to watch a movie. I like simple Sundays mixed in between all the fun crazy ones we have running around to do stuff. Turkey friends I hope you are doing well and enjoying your Sunday. I wish you well and the best to you all as we embark on The Bers Journey starting tomorrow. For now, we can still say The Bers are still fully in front of us for another day. Let’s enjoy that fact right now. It could be an incredible ride as it always is when The Bers get here so fasten your seatbelt and prepare for the journey of a lifetime. The best to you all on this Sunday. Have a great August Finale!

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 87
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 61

Happy September Arrives! Today folks we move along and see that we have 87 days remaining until The Bers. We also have 61 days left until November. Am I missing something? No. That’s all. There are 2 counts now, not 3. And the reason for that is that we have reached The Bers. Can you believe it? That is the biggest milestone in this thread, and it is here TODAY! Can you believe that? Guess what else? We now begin our Awesome Autumn. Folks, it’s not officially Autumn yet and it won’t feel completely like autumn for a bit, but the pattern lately has resembled a late summer/early autumn pattern a bit early here. I’m enjoying it. It’s Monday friends so time for our Weekly Countdown till Thanksgiving Week. It stands now at 12 weeks now folks. Can you believe we have reached a dozen weeks now? Everything has changed now that we’re in The Bers. It is truly remarkable that we are home again, but I have to say it feels awesome and special. Welcome home, my friends. Turkey friends it’s a new week but it’s a little different. We’re in The Bers. It just feels even better than the other 8 months do. I love the previous 8 months, but you all know how much we adore these next 4 months. Let’s take them all in one day at a time. I hope your Labor Day is good and it’s kind of fun but unique to see Labor Day start The Bers. Have a great September Arrives!

Let me give you a suggestion....

Create your thanksgiving menu today! On September 1st? Yep. You could make it on April 1st....you know that you already know 80% of what is going to be made. First, it is exciting! Second, you can start picking up a few things every time you go to the store. It is a lot easier to get nutmeg on Sept. 10th versus November 20th! Plus, supply and demand and cost/price of items are a real thing.

You can thank me later.

Good idea to start very early rather than late!

Happy BERS, Thanksgiving friends.

I had a dream last night that I had two new people at my Thanksgiving dinner. Today, I can't remember who they were. I remember waking up and thinking I'll invite them, if I could only remember.

I feel the need to help people around Thanksgiving. I actually thought about starting to go to a church food bank and giving treats to supplement what they got at the pantries. Pantries are so limited around here. I never see fresh fruit and vegetables and they're so expensive in the stores.

Has anyone thought about their Thanksgiving menu yet? I'll miss having my niece and her husband this year, but I think I'll have the same menu.

DAYS TILL THANKSGIVING: 86
DAYS TILL NOVEMBER: 60

Happy Early September! Today folks we move along and see that we have 86 days remaining until Thanksgiving and 60 days to go until November. We move along in the extremely early days of our Awesome Autumn with our next milestone approaching in 10 days. It will be when we reach the Final Fifty till November. Yikes. Luckily, that is still 2 handful of days away though. Turkey friends it’s Tuesday which means it is time for Picture Day so post all your pictures of Fall and Thanksgiving. We now are in The Bers my friends so your pictures will become our reality very soon as fall approaches. I’m glad we’re still in summer technically though and this weather has just been unbelievable to be honest. I said it in another thread I think but I can’t remember the last time we had consistently this nice weather for the 2nd half of August (and now it looks to mostly carry into September). It is very enjoyable, and I love this time of year. My shorts are still out, which is nice, but I don’t need to run the A/C 24/7 like I did in July. Turkey friends I hope you are getting back into your routines and realizing The Bers make our routines extra special too. It’s the Sweet Spot of the year. And I hope you all enjoy this month of September. Have a great Early September!
