DAYS TILL THE BERS: 244
Happy New Year’s Eve! Today folks we move along and see that we have 330 days remaining until Thanksgiving, 305 days left until November and 244 days to go until The Bers. We move along in our Happy Holidays for the FINAL time today folks before tomorrow begins the Winter Wonderland portion of this thread. Tomorrow is also our next milestone, which will be the Arrival of January. It’s Wednesday friends so time for our Weekly Wednesday Poll below!
What are your New Year’s Eve Plans?
A.) Party!
B.) Relax at home.
C.) I’ll be asleep before the ball even drops.
D.) I am not doing anything different today.
I’m going with B. That’s how I like my New Year’s Eve too. We have had a very busy holiday season here and the last thing I want to do is run around on New Year’s Eve. I want to be home. Have a great New Year’s Eve!

We go to a friend's house for dinner but we are usually home before midnight.
C. for me!
Same. My kids are more resilient than I. If I do make it to midnight, it’ll be because of them.
I used to be able to pull all-nighters with no problem, even into my 30s. Something changed when I hit my 40s, though. Now staying awake past 10 pm is a struggle.
So…only 30 more days before we’re done with the 300s in this thread? That’ll be a nice glimmer of hope at the end of January.

I have to answer "C". It's what always happens to me after a big meal! I'll wake up at some point at 2 in the morning having to use the bathroom, and I'll be like "Happy New Year"! lol.
2025 was really a rough year for me. I had pretty much non-stop anxiety from September 2024 through the end of May 2025, over Holly's pregnancy. Then the second half of the year was marred with stress from Holly's brother being in and out of the hospital. He is back there again, with no word / updates on when he will be able to go home this time. I'm not overly optimistic.
2026 has to be better, right?

Well we are closing 2025 soon. 2.5 hours on the east coast and 4.5 for me. Next year I will celebrate east time again.
