Morning MMC! March Feels Like January here! We had about 6 inches of snow I believe (I haven't heard the official total) but everything looks like a winter wonderland out. Ironic we've had snow the last 4 days in a row. But that streak should end as we have mostly a COLD but mostly DRY week this week. The spring warm-up should be coming later this weekend into next week. At least that's what I hope and hear. Have a great Monday!

Good Morning, Friendly Folk.

Do Milestones make you feel friendly? Do they excite and inspire you?
Well, we have one coming soon, so it's a good time to ask yourselves that question.

Now, let's take a look at the latest batch of numbers to begin this first full week of March:
Days to the Season: 254
Days to Christmas Day: 296

And the next exciting and inspirational Milestone?
Well, it's the ONE-THIRD point to the Season and it stands now just 11 days up ahead. SINGLE DIGITS from the day after tomorrow.
(So indeed, we will have some March excitement to look forward to!)

We had rain yesterday, especially in the evening, and the temps only reached to 50 degrees by afternoon.
This first day of the work week will see us again struggle to reach the same point, then we will experience a steady cooling, culminating in sub-freezing overnight lows for several days.
The current reading here is 43 degrees and it is quite damp indeed.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everyone!

Happy New Week!

We got our snow last night (in fact, a little is still falling). No official count, but it looks like 8 to 10 inches to me,* and it's sticking to everything. Most schools are closed, and Mr.'s office is closed today. My office is saying "do what's safe and smart today," so I will be working from home. (Makes it a little more difficult for me, but a lot safer!) They're expecting the roads to be cleared off quickly after the snow stops.

*National Weather Service says 14 inches!

yes they do indeed make me feel friendly..and excited and happy knowing every day get us closer to our goal !!

Merry Monday!
We didn’t get as much snow as they predicted but the schools still had a two hour delay, it’s a slushy mess out there. Not too much going on here today, just a typical day of errands & chores and I’m making a pot of Italian wedding soup for dinner. That’s about it. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great week ahead!
xx

Umm, who forgot to pay the heating bill? Single digits in March is not cool.
Yesterday, the strong March sun beamed down on some ice under the deck and created a small puddle. There were wisps of steam coming off of it in the -2F air. Nature is something...:)

Good Monday afternoon, Christmas friends!

It was so stormy last night, and the wind was a bit scary, but things have calmed down now. It's much cooler than it has been for the last few days, thank goodness.

I've started Weight Watchers, trying to drop 20 before Spring. I don't want to look like that pudgy old daddy in the upcoming graduation pictures with Elizabeth LOL! WW is a big change from my recent eating habits, but the phone app helps me keep up with the points, so we'll see how well it works.

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Well, my sweet hubbins is getting discharged tomorrow.

I bought his whiny roommate a pair of pants and a top because he was complaining of having no clothes and his wife has been snowed in and can't get to him. I didn't buy him shoes or anything in case he was trying to escape.

Anyway, I just set up the new microwave and bed and now I'm trying to throw out a bunch of stuff to declutter so he has more room to navigate.

We will have to debate the twin mattress behind the love seat in the living room because O'Malley the king of all feral cats has claimed that as his own and if it means I can keep purging around here and set the second bedroom up as a mini weight room, my husband and I can both take advantage of it.

Home Care will be coming to check on him Wedneday and Friday and then one day next week and that could be the end of it for them.

So relieved that he didn't have to examine bowel cancer because the head surgeon is the guy that screwed up with my mom so I don't have confidence in him; we would have had to travel two hours to the next available head surgeon.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers for my husband and I; we'll be back to normal which still isn't 100%, but we've grown used to his mobility troubles, perhaps if he can strengthen his arms, he can get into the pool at the gym to help with his leg troubles.

I better get back to my housework or I'll start procrastinating and it will never get done.

Stay Jolly! +g

I had to go gas up on the west HWY by one of the reserves (great prices save at least $4.00); I like not having to get out of my car in the winter it's full service.

I popped into the hospital, 'cause I had to pass the turn off to come home. He was so surprised and pleased.

Then I decided to treat O'Malley cat and myself to a pizza for dinner from Milanos. Never ordered from there before and it's been around for two or three years. It was tasty. I have four slices left for tomorrow.

I gave O'Malley a few green olive slices from my pizza and he was in heaven. After he ate about four of them, he rolled over landing on my left foot and then started rubbing his head with his paw and rubbing his neck on the floor where a bit of the olive juice must have been - he uses it like cologne. Silly cat.

I decided to spend the night on the spare bed with O'Malley and my husband and I can sleep in the new bed together tomorrow night.

Looking forward to watching The VOICE tonight and tomorrow night.

I have to go into work tomorrow afternoon, but have the morning to fetch my husband and get him settled in at home.

Had a weird dream about seeing a bunch of duck feathers and then a duck landed on my back and I was trying to shake him off. Weird. I woke up rocking on the bed. I've heard of getting a monkey off your back, but never a duck. It wasn't O'Malley trying to climb in with me; he was in his cat bed nearby. Maybe I'm a lucky duck. HaHa.

Keep a merry thought in your head.

That’s great news that your husband is coming home tomorrow. Sounds like you’ve been very busy getting your place ready for his return. And may I say how I am always amazed at your generosity towards others, like when you bought your husband’s roommate some clothes as his wife was snowed in. You have such a great heart Auntie :)

Good Monday evening! It was quite mild this morning but northernly winds have picked up and it got very cold by the end of the day. I spent part of the day making a video for a celebration at work on Friday. Our company and store had great year-end results and the social committee is throwing a pizza party and I decided to make a surprise video using photos from our first six months of existence, set to the music of Queen. Now I get to relax and catch up on the dvr with David. Hope everyone had a great start to the week and will enjoy a nice evening.

Morning MMC! It sure is cold out for March! This looks to continue through much of the week before a milder weekend. Funny how 45 sounds like a heat wave towards the end of winter yet it's actually normal for this time of year. That sun at least helps even when it's cold out in March. You can feel how much warmer it is than it was a month or 2 ago. Have a great day everyone!
